  1. Another Vote For the Brendella Barefooter. Have had mine for 5 years now and its been a great boat. My driver says when I'm not skiing great that i drag it around a bit through the course but I dont really notice it moving and times are always in spec according to the perfect pass.
  2. Agree that these are all really cool setups. I have a 1993 Ski Brendella Barefooter with a Suzuiki 225 on it and had to go another route as well. Previously posed in the Skiing Behind Outboards thread that popped back up this spring. https://www.ballofspray.com/forum#/discussion/comment/365633. But since this popped back up I will post here too. I could physically not find a spot under my motor hood that had enough space to mount the Servo and figured that even with a super long servo cable i would still have to make some kind of bracket under the hood anyways. So i bought a second short throttle cable and made a simple sliding bracket to put inline and mounted everything behind my back seat. Spring below the short throttle cable to the outboard is to help close the throttle when the perfect pass backs off due to the extra resistance created by the bracket and cable Zip tied it to a spot that kept it aligned as best as possible to the original cable path Mounting location of the servo motor.
  3. @GregHind I figured out the issue. Was hooked up to the incorrect wire. Installed the V9 upgrade, calibrated my baselines and am getting times well within spec on the course I have mapped.
  4. @GregHind I am getting no reading at all. I will have to double check everything when I take the boat out of storage, but I'm sure i have tried all settings including inverting signal. And I think I have tried multiple times to ensure I have a good connection. Good to know though that it should work though.
  5. @GregHind Thanks. I thought it was a pretty creative solution. Its Wake Edition S but I'm not sure what software version. It works fairly well as long as the driver doesn't overshoot the set speed when pulling up a skier. The one issue I have not been able to resolve is it won't register RPM, which I don't think is a huge deal for Wake Edition. I do intend to upgrade to 3 Event Version 9 this year so will have to rectify that issue. I think I might need something like this to increase the voltage or change the signal to something PP can understand Any insight into this issue would be appreciated
  6. I have a 93 Ski Brendella Barefooter with a 225 Suzuki. Skis Great. I installed Perfect pass 2 years ago. There was not enough room under the motor hood for the servo so I had to do a remote mount. I had to try a couple different springs till i found one that worked well. I also built the linkage so it can extend to fine tune the spring rate. Servo and linkage mounted behind the back seat The cable from the linkage to the motor is only about 4ft. And a pic of the whole boat Brother in law and Father in law also have outboards. The middle one is a 1970 something Cougar with a 200 Merc and the one on the right is a 1970 something Swiftsure with a 120 Johnson
  7. ISO 2014 -2018 radar vapor 67” or 68” preferably somewhere in Alberta or B.C. I would also trade my 2016 radar senate alloy 71” if there is someone out there looking to get into a bigger ski. Thanks.
  8. Just going to get a few things for the boat i have 1) GPS speedometer 2) Depth gauge 3) Bimini top I would love to get a portable course too, since there aren't any near where I live that I know of.
  9. Hey Guys, New Here and figured this would be a good place to introduce myself. My name is Tyler and I grew up just outside of Edmonton, Alberta. I Learned to ski behind the father in laws 1980 something 16' swift sure with at 120 Johnson in 2006 or 2007. Got to ski a few times a year until we moved to Sparwood British Columbia in the spring of 2012. Since he wasn't really using his boat he lent it to us for the summer of 2012 and 2013 and we used it almost every weekend from May - September, but since he planned on using it more in the summer of 2014 we had to go without a boat. So after a season of missing skiing almost every weekend I decided to see if I could find a good enough deal on a for myself. I had done some research into direct drive ski boats but wanted an out board just because of the nature of the lakes around my place. In the spring of 2015 I came across a 1993 Ski Brendella Barefooter with a 225hp Suzuiki about an hour and a half away. And after a little research I decided this boat would be a great fit for what I wanted. Went and looked at it March 8, bought it and brought it home. First day in the water was March 22nd (2 days after the ice dropped), First ski was March 28th and on April 11th I managed to Snow ski in the morning and water ski in the afternoon. Day we bought the boat First day in the water First ski
