Thanks @Maxsend Zoom wasn't showing from the get go and then I had Linear+HL selected which got me puzzled. Switching to Linear shows zoom as you have shown above.

@Maxsend I just got an 11 and setting up my qr code. I do not see the zoom option anymore. Am I missing something?

@Keith_Menard you can store them in the phone with either the app or the website. The app allows you to label them but the small amount of time that I have used it, I found the website easier to use. Just save into your photos as a screenshot and make them a favorite.

@Maxsend thanks for looking into this. Be great to see the difference between the two. What would the equivalent zoom be for the 11? The 2x you mentioned earlier?

@Maxsend what is the max zoom on the 11? I cannot find that info anywhere. I just want to make sure I can zoom in as much as possible without loosing quality. I would prefer to not have to post process as I am always limited on time! I tried out my neighbor's hero 9 and was really impressed with the image stabilization. So I know the 10 and 11 would be subsequently better. I just want a simple solution for recording, which the go pro has.

The best I can tell, they removed the narrow lens option on the hero11. @Keith_Menard I am in the same boat as you and was waiting on the 11, but I may purchase the 10 because of that. Can anyone confirm they removed that lens option? Also, has anyone used any of the other options out there? DJI OSMO action (they just released the 3)? Insta360 one rs? I know the GPS trigger may be an issue, but maybe the other players have an option and it is just really hard to find the info on it.

@jpwhit Jeff did a very nice restomod on his 98 with seadeck, etc. Nothing fancy with the engine, but he has a lot of good info. If it becomes to big of a headache, let me know and I'll come take it off your hands! Quick 2.5hr drive for me! -

@jpwhit be sure to check out planetnautique and look at Jeff's restoration of his 98 from a few years back. He is based out of NC as well as myself. I'm pretty jealous of that find! Same colors as our 95 in the exact condition I would want in as well. -
@vtmecheng I'm 6'4" 175lbs and have no issues. I ordered a large and while tight, it is not restrictive at all.

I have a full length suit and love it. Can ski into 55-60 deg water and my body is comfortable. The only spot where I get water in is at the zipper if I don't fold it over properly. Very little water if that though. They also have a coating which keeps wind from coming in.

@Horton Are you still using the hero8? I've seen some of your other posts about older cell phones and didn't know if you are happiest with the 8? I know they now have a 9 out and the 10 will surely be out soon.

@skierjp the bimini I got is low like the tower one. Maybe I will be kicking myself for not getting one from tower but for the moment I'm happy with the one I got. Hoping to get it mounted over the weekend. Going to mount the strap tie downs to the air intake plates up front and the rear to the top of the gunnel stepdown.

New to Winston Salem, NC and looking to Slalom Ski

As others mentioned Skyview is likely the best option for you. Great lake and I believe they have a club boat. Lake Norman ski club is an option, I'm a member, but it would be a drive for you. There is also Little Mountain in Maiden. -
Thanks @ETskier that is what I was thinking. I just need to grab some shorter screws for the windshield frame mounting.

To everyone with a 196, I just got a bimini from NP.com and am debating on deck or windshield mounting. What is everyone's opinion? I am leaning towards windshield frame mounting at the very bottom right before the deck. For those of you who have done this are you using wood/sheet metal screws or normal machine screws with nuts on the inside?

Pictures appear to show the boat is in pretty good shape. I have a 95 and love it. I would find manifolds as others have mentioned and take it to a reputable machine shop for an engine refresh. New seals, gaskets, rings, bearings, oil pump, deglaze the cylinders, valve job, etc. There is excellent support for that engine on CCFan and PlanetNautique and you should have no issues getting it into tip top shape.

@Windsurfnut I'm assuming you either made a custom cable to attach to the weatherpack/connector for the GPS or spliced it in? I want to update mine but don't want to deal with customs and I don't have an older computer with serial port, so I will have to use a usb or an adapter.

@Phil I had a right hip labrum tear as well. I had an impingement as well which likely caused the tear. Dealt with the dull aching pain for years until I was in pain before I got in the shower in the morning. Ended up have surgery with Dr. Allston Stubbs at Wake Forrest Baptist. Best decision I have ever made. Stubbs was awesome!
