  1. I plan on coming from Michigan and am wondering if there is one day rainout will they finish on Sunday or what?
  2. I believe I was 64yo when mine was done and I was told I could start skiing again after about 10 weeks.
  3. What a great loss to our sport. My sympathy to his friends and family.
  4. @Jody_Seal I brought this up in Mostly Slalom about March 13, 2019 to mixed review. I think it would add some strategy and it wouldn't take up anymore space than traditional.
  5. I had the exact same delema last Summer. I demo'd both skis. I really liked them both but bought the 69" Senate Alloy over the 69" Carbon Omni because I trusted it more. More predictable I guess. I am 5'11" @ 210# and ski 15 off at 28-29 mph. My goal for this year is to get to 32mph. I'm also 66 years old. While at the boat show, I asked Brooks Wilson for a recommendation based on these statistics and he suggested the 69"Alloy over the other Senates. A softer flex would be easier to improve with more forgiveness. Good Luck! you won't be disappointed with either ski.
  6. A few years ago there was some talk of symetrical slalom courses where you could start your pass from either side depending on personal preference. This seems logical to me. Any thoughts?
  7. I'm suprised that no one has mentioned the Malibu Echelon. When that came out I just had to have one. I believe it really put Malibu on the map.
  8. It took us 10 years to get a permit. We were only allowed a 4 ball course, it had hours for usage, had to be submerged when not in use, and we needed four outside corner marker bouys that said ski course on them. To set up the course we snagged the mainline and then worked our way down clipping on the balls. By the time we finally got it set up in the morning the wind was up and other boat traffic was out. WE finally just gave up. It wasn't worth it. :/
  9. 2017 Brought me a cervical fusion C7/T1 and then umbilical hernia surgery. I only skied 4 times last year but I am working hard to be ready for this season. I guess it was just time for my 65 year rebuild!
  10. I first heard about Lake Powell through a feature article in the 90's. Packed up the family and Malibu and drove from Michigan to Utah and experienced the houseboat vacation of a lifetime. I started subscribing back when Spay was in print. 1988 was the only Boat Buyers guide I don't have. I did enjoy the Trent issues too. It will be missed.
  11. Oh, by the way, they go in from the FRONT! :)
