  1. My roommate and I upgraded his 08moomba with a dual puck system back in April and it worked great. I have avg 2 to 3 @38 in practice with that setup. Last weekend we upgraded to the single puck system. I have been on 3different 68” skis all season 16’ radar Vapor, 18’ radar vapor, and 18 Syndicate Pro and have been having issues with my onside consistency, so after regionals which I rode my 68” syndicate Pro which I got 1.5 @38’, a friend sold me his 67” syndicate Pro. Well with the new ski, new single puck and the Rev S upgrade I ran 3@38’ 3 times in a row. The new zo feels smoother at the finish of the turn to me, but I have never had a ski that turns so good on both sides. Will play with + settings after nats
  2. I have had same issue on a 94prostar many times. Fuel pump pressurizing but injectors not firing. i have unplugged one injector and put a jump wire on injector posts one to ground and the other to a 12v hot(remote starter switch is best)and crank starter and while activating injector and it fires off and starts working. I suspect fuel pump going bad. Causing low prime pressure. Hard to duplicate because it’s random
  3. I like the concept. would need lots of details to make work. Just thinking out loud--- would have to be a sanctioned tournament site with certified course, Rated Boat Judge and driver, Video, ECT... Could not set Records this way but could be a great way to get Scores in the books for Avg. Could increase number of scores needed for avg - golf uses 10 scores to set Handicap. I personally love the tournament scene but many states and areas don't have as many local tournaments.
  4. Had a 93 great wake horrible spray in head wind
  5. 29 tournaments - 83 tournament rounds 300+ practice sets only one injury this year! Skied over the rope and the handle hit the ankle bone Got to 3 @38’ a dozen times in practice and 4@38 four times. Didn’t hit my goal but learned a lot this year.
  6. @klindy hahahaha you forgot to mention I was trying to get around you when I stepped off the edge of the dock!!! JK - it was funny
  7. I have both for sale - 93 malibu Euro and a 94 MC PS with PP asking $7500 for each. Both run great and solid hulls, just need some Upholstery work, but not real bad. I have run 35' off many times at 34 mph with the Mastercraft
  8. @B_S that is true. lol Took an OTF out the gates at 35' last Saturday. Rope in the water and held on, but it lifted my fin out of the water and i skied out the gate on the tip then it finally pulled me OTF.
  9. 2016 HO V type R 68" for sale $699 obo. the ski is in excellent shape still. No flaws. selling to upgrade to a 2017 ski. I increased My Avg from 4@32' off to 1.5@38' off on this ski. Trying a different ski right now so I can sell this one. Need To sell - make me an offer
  10. @MISkier yep that is Bennetts for ya! lol. @MattP and @UWSkier Yes a few a week. Always had a saying since I was a kid "if your not crashing sometimes your not pushing hard enough" Only 4th season competing and increased Tournament PB from 4@32' in 2014, 1@35' in 2015 (injured after first tournament) to 2.5@38' in 2016. Im finally to the point of Technic that I dont try to hold on to every thing in practice.
  11. @ntx - That is my point. If State was a requirement then it would a worthy title. We promoted Texas state fairly well last year and had a huge turn out 70 Slalom Skiers and I think over 80 total skiers. M4 had 10 skiers in their division and our Regional only 18, but still only 3 of the top 10 in the in the ranking from Texas were there.
  12. here's a good OTF from last Mays tournament at Bennetts That Tony Lightfoot posted on Utube-
  13. Im very familiar with OTF's I take a few a week. The worst ever was April 2015 Skiing for @lakeaustinskier Driving test for Assistant Driver. My first set on a used Goode Nano Twist ski with an Interlock plate. I had pulled the plate off to look at the way the boots were mounted on the plate and didnt know how to reattach the interlock and just push it on with my hand and foot. My first cut at the gates the plate came off and caught the front edge of the interlock plate- my head slammed into the water so hard and my legs bent over my head and my back locked up. had to be rescued and floated back to the swim step. Jokingly they told @lakeaustinskier "You hurt your skier You FAIL"
  14. @Horton I clicked the paypal for entry and paid. There was nothing to fillout as far as the entry. Is there not an actual Tournament sign up?
  15. Time and Cost is the main issue with doing both Regs and Nats. I love going to Regionals, but didnt go to Nationals last year because I couldn't afford the trip. I would like to see the State tournament a Requirement for Nationals and then the regionals would be an option if qualified. My competitive heart wants State and Regionals but It prevents some people from making the financial commitment to both. my .02
  16. @Horton great job thinking out of the box! This will be a great addition to the Nationals Experience.
  17. @Chad_Scott I agree with you 100% on the speed advantage rule should not be allowed at upper levels. I can run 32' @36mph pretty consistently which is the same score as me running 35' @ 34 which I only ran 10% of the time last season. on the survey I made a comment that I think it is a great rule for Novice thru level 5 which does not qualify for Regionals. I don't feel this is a good plan for rankings, Regional and National competition. Just my opinion.
  18. @RazorRoss3- I Resemble that remark!!! lol
  19. I was in the Navy for 12 years and used to take my slalom ski with me on 6 month Deployments. I have Found a sites, with slalom courses in Singapore and Dubai. It was in 95-98 soI cant remember the exact pricing and Im sure is has gone up, but I want to say it was around $20 to $30 a set. Both places where businesses that give lessons and ski sets. Also skied a course at a cable ski park in Thailand. hard to make the pulley corners on a slalom ski at 34mph in a cable park and no refference point in course without wakes and white water.
  20. @Chris Rossi @wish - 2014 was my first season and durning Nationals I brought 6 pairs of Vise gloves in to Show Chris Sullivan how they breaking and wearing. He said they were working on the problem and he had Radar send me an replacement pair.
  21. @wish im not kidding. Im a bigger guy 225 2015 season and 205 to 210 last season and got my avg into 38'. Tried lots of gloves in the past and Radar Vise or Masterline Pro lock are the only thing I could ski aggressive with. I have went through 9 handles the last two years also. Last year april to sept I was buying 3 pairs of gloves every month
  22. I have skied in both the Austin BOS tournaments and really look forward to skiing in this format. Pros--- Professional format 2 preliminary Rounds then seeded to Head to Head finals or Handicap Round. Great competition for any level skier. (mid to bottom level 8 tough area to place) Most skiers friendly and talkative. Impromptu after party first year and planned second year. Cons--- More structure to the After parties. better Announcing during final rounds Perfect for big dawgs and Pro skiers competing head to head, but there is a huge gap for skiers just running 35' and getting a few at 38' - make head to head but go against skiers getting into 41'. Hard to beat avg in Handicap. This year in Austin was an Exception, because US Open and Big Dawg Finals were going on the same dates. only one Big Dawg and One Pro were there and made the balance perfect. Need sponsor booths with merchandise - we love stickers, tee shirts, Hats and Swag!!! Wish we had Demos like HO did the first tournament.
