Andrew Stam at Portland Manor Estate in Knysna is also running a small operation where you can get to run the slalom course. http://www.portlandmanor.com/ It is said to not look anything as good as what it may look like in the advertising. Standards have dropped recently and service is very hit and miss. At the end of February we are going to holding a standings list tournament here. I have not been and have been looking forward to going.

Going up to Durban you have 3 sites
Satellite as previously mentioned.
Eric Cornhill at Thornley Ski Farm, who has beautiful facilities, just can be wind effected, so you need to ski early during the day

Then I am Chairman of the Inanda Water Ski Club.
Very basic facilities, 2 slalom courses. Very well protected from the prevailing NE wind.
I can arrange lessons and ski sets at some times, but there is no-one there full time.
Close and accessible to Durban and Umhlanga

We have a small active core of members who can be on the water quite regularly.
Then Cameron Rein on sales@watersportswarehouse.co.za would be good contact for further info on Cape Town and surrounds.
Don Sheads Ski World in Johannesburg is always worth a stop.
Then if you are interested in going to see the new land speed world record attempt at Hakskeen Pan/ Thurst SSC then you need to stop in with the Visser Family at Lake Grappa
Look on Facebook at Waterski Sites South Africa to see what else is going on
