  1. @Steven_Haines [I emailed with Mark at PP and he told me that they would reprogram my puck for free.] That's what I said. Just pay the shipping. They are the best.
  2. I have had 9.2 for at least two years. It works perfect. Never had any issues with any version. Yes I have the extra return spring and ground wire and checked all the grounds also. I only did that to be proactive in maintenance. I have a carb, it is not drive by wire. My friends have ZO and they wouldn't ski behind my boat for years. Situations changed and for a little bit he had to ski behind my boat. He was very happy with it and did not see that much of a difference. (I'm talking about a 41' skier here.) I don't ski any better or worse behind his boat or mine. Yes I've also had my puck updated couple years ago also. They do it for free, you just pay for the shipping. I have had one issue with perfect pass and only one. And it has nothing to do with speed control per se. After getting my PP display wet over the years (numerous times) it was finally time to replace it. I get the new display, I put it in. Everything seemed fine until I started using the contrast buttons. Increasing the contrast actually decreased it. Okay, I call PP. They're telling me that no, "This is the way it's supposed to work." I'm telling them that is not the way it's supposed to work you are decreasing the contrast. At any rate we went back and forth with it and I have to live with it. There was just no getting them to admit that this was wrong. You know, I hang out in Canada a lot and unless I'm missing something the word decrease and increase mean the same thing in Canada as they do in the US. (I'm not talking about the letter Z). It is what it is. Having said that I don't know why you would ask this forum first anything in regards to PP problems. I've never seen a group more easily accessible and want to help with their product then the staff at PP. They're the best. To be totally honest I would feel disloyal buying something with ZO in it. I read these guys on here with all these wacky background settings and I have to scratch my head. It's like what? I never have had these issues. I'm not discounting anything that people claim they're having problems with but I have never had any. I don't think you could go wrong spending the money on it. You know, you could spend a $100 k plus if you want ZO on a new boat. I think NOT.

I have some NARCAN that I could give you.
  6. Just noticed this. Sorry. Yes that would definitely be cool - making it into two bars. The club I hang out at in Welland---for sure---that would be a huge hit. I believe there would be a few bottles of Crown Royal there.
  7. I guy I know who has one. Use to ski on the CDN Natl. team. (Paul Thorpe) If I remember correctly they were built in Peterborough somewhere under license from MC. They had a great wake.
  8. Here's the one I'm thinking of. But I don't see the Piezo lights on it. I thought that was the one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/235339920812?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=0hXks2-PTxi&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=j2gKTreoQ5u&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  9. That O'Brien fin block is almost a dead ringer for a fin block Paul Jager was selling a few years back. I just don't have a picture of it. I think it was a CNC plastic deal. What is that all about with the biggest name in skis for year just sitting by the wayside. I guess the money is all in wakeboards. Bob Reich use to be really involved with them. Remember the adjustable flex and sidecut forebody with piezo lights? If that don't turn on chicks nothing will!
  10. Some led lights will turn it on! They had all kinds of cool ideas. Remember Connelly had a 3 fin deal when the Concept came out? Wasn't it O'brien that had that fin with a feeler gauge setup on it? One way it would open to release fin psi and the other way it would close up? (Not Mike Suyderhoud's jack knife setup) Man when I was young I wanted one of those pointy tip wooden Obriens so bad.
  11. You ever see this- it's almost as much as their ski. https://www.obrien.com/products/obrien-gc-titanium-fin-kit?title=default%20title The Omerta and Seige are practically being given away.
  12. The one I remember is when she was wrapped in foil with a champagne glass with an Obrien TRC ( ? ) with a million dollar smile.
  13. 20230919_190406.mp4 20230919_190406.mp4 Look at the black plastic case under the wheel. That is the whole unit. That's it. I was under the misconception thinking about it that it would be something working off the tiller arm with servos and complication. Nothing of the sort. Pop the wheel off, slide that on the splines. Put the power to it and you're good to go. It's way simpler than installing Perfect Pass. He did pull someone on the 12 m line All in the green on sure-path the other day. He is non-stop tweaking this to get it right. He's going to get it. It is absolutely at the point right now where if you're looking for a pretty straight path this will do it. Well maybe they're not ready for the world's yet but Rome was not built in a day. He is not a skier. He was asked to do this. So he's doing pretty good if you ask me. He gets input from some of the best. Now on the cash side of it he told me they're looking at $6000 US. He asked me what did I think. I told him "I won't be buying one." But hey let's be honest I've got a 33-year-old boat, Z-Box Perfect Pass I have to be careful with what I do with my cash. I think if someone's laying out a 100 grand plus for a new ski boat they're probably going to be okay with that figure. I seem to remember that when ZO came on the scene how the complaints were that it wouldn't give you anything or gave you too much. So if the driver now is intuitive with the skier and it varies from driver to driver well if this system gives you nothing and simply seeks a straight line won't the playing field be leveled somewhat for everyone? Again, these are just my thoughts. I am just a hot dog eating American so I don't know very much. Btw-all the driver does to disengage the system is to steer it yourself. It will sense resistance and disengage.
