  1. @KRoundy that’s length and serial number I believe.
  2. Which rope is it? Is it the newest iteration of the vapor knotless? Is it white or is it black?
  3. I see both sides of this and still find myself conflicted about not letting someone ski. An official of the event told him when to be somewhere and not knowing any better he showed up when an official told him. Then the chief judge (doing his job, I get it) tells him he’s out. Maybe it was worth a conversation and a chance for a skier to have a GREAT experience to learn from instead of an experience where he feels further from the sport than ever. @Simpson is one of my best friends and I am very biased here, but I do have to wonder if these types of experiences for new skiers is partially why we continue to have the same old conversations about saving the sport. Need more GREAT experiences with our great sport!
  4. Yep! Also the name of the great white shark that led the “fish are friends not food” support group in Finding Nemo. My son watched that movie 124474 times.
  5. @aupatking how do you start your relationship with a new ski? I don’t know, say a lithium senate???
  6. Lol.. @aupatking you know nothing!! Just like we thought..
  7. Ruptured eardrum going into 3 ball. 6 weeks with no head in the water. I'm going nuts and it's only been 6 days.
  8. I have listened to all of the podcasts @MarcusBrown has done and I find myself searching through iTunes looking for more podcasts about skiing. Can't thank Marcus and all of his guests for doing this.
  9. I would laugh, but I did the exact same thing coming through the gates yesterday. There may actually be video of it somewhere. @aupatking
  10. Jim, You don't really know me nor do I really know you. However, you @aupatking, and several other ballers were on the dock at skiwatch for my first ever tournament. I skied as bad as I possibly could that day and all you and all the guys on the dock did was encourage me to keep hammering and go harder each round. I guess it's my turn to encourage you to keep crushing everything that gets in your way. I do not know you well, but I know you will not give up, you will not go gently into that good night. And you will rage, rage against the dying of the light.. Stay strong and kick cancers @$$!!
  11. I have one somewhere @Bill22. When I get back to town this weekend I'll look and let you know.
  12. This ski to me was an example of simple elegance. Even though I didn't keep it and kept the regular ARC.
  13. I did finally get to do something other than drive.. Although I am much better at driving than I am skiing..
  14. Found this guy on the side of the lake begging for a ride...
  15. @aupatking and I have been trying to figure how to do something similar since he forced me to learn to slalom last summer. I like the three rounds mixed idea. @aupatking you should post pics of the mullet and the rules of the mullet challenge. Also, we should ski behind Ian's 2001 for Old boat rounds.
  16. Just some free ski love early in the morning..
  17. That VTX is a wild looking beast. Interested to ride one after having owned the VTR. Dave said the VTX is confidence inspiring, that is something that I have always looked for in whatever I was doing. Did quite a bit of riding on road courses on a motorcycle and that was always the feel I was looking for. Didn't always want the fastest feeling setup or bike, but something smooth and confidence inspiring I could concentrate on my riding... Just like my skiing.. Awesome stuff!
  18. @Howa1500, I think there has already been a thread about this, but just contact reflex directly. Send them pictures of the heel cup and they will replace it. They took care of mine with no hassle at all. Hope this helps.
  19. I am not much of a skier, but I've been on a 68" V-type R and 68" A3 of late then the 68" ARC-s for a free ski set this afternoon.. Short set, but if I had to use one word to describe the set it would be FAST. If i had more words, I would say things like confidence inspiring, fun, fast and awesome. Look forward to what @Horton has to say as he moves through this review. @aupatking actually rode the other ARC, but I could tell his back was still couched.
  20. @LeonL, @aupatking is my ski partner.. No breaks will be given. Especially since I'm actually demoing the skis.. Plus his back is still couched up.. He may just have to look at them while I ski them..
