I see both sides of this and still find myself conflicted about not letting someone ski. An official of the event told him when to be somewhere and not knowing any better he showed up when an official told him. Then the chief judge (doing his job, I get it) tells him he’s out. Maybe it was worth a conversation and a chance for a skier to have a GREAT experience to learn from instead of an experience where he feels further from the sport than ever. @Simpson is one of my best friends and I am very biased here, but I do have to wonder if these types of experiences for new skiers is partially why we continue to have the same old conversations about saving the sport. Need more GREAT experiences with our great sport!

Ruptured eardrum going into 3 ball. 6 weeks with no head in the water. I'm going nuts and it's only been 6 days.

I have listened to all of the podcasts @MarcusBrown has done and I find myself searching through iTunes looking for more podcasts about skiing. Can't thank Marcus and all of his guests for doing this.

Jim, You don't really know me nor do I really know you. However, you @aupatking, and several other ballers were on the dock at skiwatch for my first ever tournament. I skied as bad as I possibly could that day and all you and all the guys on the dock did was encourage me to keep hammering and go harder each round. I guess it's my turn to encourage you to keep crushing everything that gets in your way. I do not know you well, but I know you will not give up, you will not go gently into that good night. And you will rage, rage against the dying of the light.. Stay strong and kick cancers @$$!!

This ski to me was an example of simple elegance. Even though I didn't keep it and kept the regular ARC.
