  1. PM me if you want I live 15 minutes from Cornwall. I could give you a pull in late afternoon Saturday and Sunday
  2. Update. I talked on the phone with my mecanic to get more details because he had only texted me. Turns out the seal where the shaft goes in was misplaced…plus in front of that there is a metal plate sealed with silicone and he thinks there was not enough of it. So most likely a bad assembly from the manufacturer.🤬
  3. Hey Ballers! Here is the story first: I changed my transmission on my 200 for the new PCM 80A in 2021 during covid. There were no more parta for the 40. I put 230 hours on it since then and oil started to leak at the back bottom… no damages thank god. I noticed in time but the mecanic took it apart and realized that there no gaskets or seals. Freaking silicone or « crazy glue » like he said laughing. Not so funny if you run it with no oil long enough to f*#% up your almost new transmission. Has anybody had the same issue? What did PCM say? Its frustrating that I have to pay for that…
  4. @Jody_Seal ok! I see we never thought of that thanks!!
  5. with the bottom bracket, we had to bend the bracket a bit to angle it right, but it was not enough. as you can see the cable would be almost vertical. It would not shift because of the too steep angle of the cable
  6. @Jody_Seal My index is pointing where the shifter was on the 40A and my thumb is pointing where the bottom bracket is. If you figured it out please show me The cable was coming the opposite way, from the back underneath the floor with the 40A My mecanic ordered everything so I don’t know. My guess is that it was the complep retro kit
  7. @Jody_Seal We tried with the bottom bracket at first. The angle was not right and it wouldn't shift. The cable is too long. The mecanic tried a couple of ways.I ll try to upload a picture
  8. Thanks@Kelvin! Yeah I just found that too! Its the same as mine by the looks of it. So that worked? would be easy fix. I just need to figure out how to remove de shifter now.
  9. Thanks @oldjeep I will take look right now, Its not the same shifter at all but there's got to ne something to reposition it
  10. @Kelvin that would be great if you could send me pictures. By looking at the shifter I thought I could reverse the cables somehow, but my mecanic says you can't do that but I am not convinced yet.
  11. Hey Ballers! I recently changed my PCM transmission in my 2011 200. It had the 40A and since they don't make them anymore I now have the 80A. The mecanic installed the throttle cable in a way that the cable comes from the top of the engine instead of from the floor like it was with the 40A...Hope some of you understand what I mean but anyway, he installed it that way because the shifter on the transmission is located differently and it was the only way he could make it fit. But the problem now is that the boat goes foward when I gear it in reverse and backwards when I gear it foward! Any of you had that problem or was able to adapt the cable properly to the 80A from a 40A pcm tranny? pictures if you have any would help and what brackets did you use to make it fit? Thanks!!
  12. @Laz #2 was the thing I wasn’t sure about. The rule book doesn’t say much about Safety requirements for boats so...very very gray area there. For the slalom course approval, I got 2 permits from Transport Canada for 2 courses in 2 different province (ontario and quebec) on the same body of water and was surprised how easy it was. That was 3-4 years ago. The feeling I got is that they don’t give a crap about small buoys as they are not much of an obstacle to navigation.
