  1. 4@22 32 with that sweet boat... jk
  2. How long did you wait? I am 3 days out and feel almost normal. Is it worth a shot to try to make some turns tomorrow? Open water, nothing crazy. I've been back to work for 2 days doing finish carpentry, and it didn't set me back. Need some perspective.
  3. I upgraded my boat recently to the stargazer/ z-boz. I have not had the boat in the water yet, but I will report back on the difference from the original(2002) equipment.
  4. I really like my 197. Slalom is much better at 34+. I would second trying to get one on the water. I think you'll like the boat a lot coming from a 205.
  5. -I really like my 197 -196 wish my family could make it work -prostar with tower... my next boat(my wife likes the tower)
  6. If I take a look at the boat is there anything specific to the 2009 196 model I should keep a look out for? They should have had all the kinks worked out at the end of the run of this hull. I just have to figure the motor is toast.
  7. I have no worries about being able to fix it, but at what price? I am in if I can get it at a good value... If the boat would be worth 25k I'd like to be up and running like new at 20k. Any more and it isn't worth the hassle. Not a lot of meat on that bone if something unexpected comes up, and it will with my luck. I need to go take a look, and see what I can figure out. Thanks for the replies.
  8. The boat has 550hrs. The guy he bought it from ran it out of the water. Apparently it was hot enough to melt some wires and the dog house. The motor still spins. Is there any way the motor could have survived that? I would think it needs a new motor.
  9. http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=48024 The boat seem like it would be a reasonable way into a ZO boat from my PP MC 197. I don't think I am a buyer at that price, but I am willing to wrech, and the boat isn't too far from me. What's a reasonable price?
  10. I assumed you where looking for course time and a ZO boat. My boat is on the lift in good ski spot (no course). If you make it back up I'll definitely give you a pull if the water isn't solid.
  11. I went from double boot to hrt after skiing the end of last year with the radar rear rubber problem detailed on another thread. I liked the heal lift. It's been a easy switch.
  12. The rice lake guys are around here. They have a nice setup.
  13. One of the original 197 tournament team boats(2002). Hoping this picture will help me get threw the long Minnesota winter that is quickly approaching.
