  1. @bananaron Doing alright. I'm thankful that the doc got everything on my nose but, it will be awhile before I look normal again. I'm paying for my younger years. I still have to have a full face treatment "chemo cream" for a lack of a better explanation. Thanks for asking.
  2. My favorite, from my younger days, was a boat paddle.
  3. I had to have two spots removed from my nose Wednesday. That’s three spots this year and one more on my hand still to be removed.
  4. Water and air 62 yesterday. Enjoyed an afternoon out on the water before draining the block in preparation for 22 degrees in a couple of days.
  5. @dbski Beautiful ride, what did you power it with?
  6. I've been thinking of something very similar. For instance in Jump, a skier is only allowed 3 passes. Why not do the same for slalom? If we are honest, we don't really care about watching most skiers opening pass. This should speed up the contest and increase the risk factor slightly.
  7. A tetanus shot should probably be the first thing on your list. @Horton
  8. Several years ago I got frustrated with my derm. and stopped going. He would scan me so quickly that I was pointing out spots he missed so I figured what's the point. Fast forward to this year and I had a couple of spots that just didn't look right. Went to a new derm. last week, had several spots frozen and have the first cut session scheduled for next Wednesday. Thankfully, these are pre-cancerous. They also want to do the cream/light face treatment. Anyone have any experience with that?
  9. Started listening yesterday, thanks for doing this!
  10. It's really interesting watching Nate's style at that speed. He doesn't really load the line until he has almost reached the white-wash.
  11. Gymnastics on water, hmm, he's created a new sport.
  12. I just saw a video of TW on IG skiing on a 2020 67" KD Platinum. He didn't appear to have any trouble turning it and it seems like a large ski for him.
  13. I interpret #2 simply as being tall on the ski. I physically can't move my hips forward if my knees are bent at a 90 degree angle. But yes, please clarify what you mean on #2.
  14. One other thing to add to this conversation is the economy. It has been on a 10+ year run now. Boat manufacturers have a limited production capacity and right now it seems like there are a lot of people with disposable income therefore, manufacturers can charge more. I think some of the price increases we've seen in the last several years are more due to the economy and the scales of supply and demand than anything else.
  15. Thanks guys, I'll make some fin adjustments and go from there.
  16. Guys, I'm riding a 68" Arc-S with the current settings: Bindings 30.25, FL 6.935, FD 2.455, DFT .76 and wing at 7. Currently it hunts for an edge like nothing I've ever been on and at times I will get what I call tip bite at the latter part of my preturn. My first thought was bindings forward to reduce the edge hunting but, I fear that will result in more tip bite. I'm not new to slalom but I am new to setup/tuning these things. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, I'm 6'2" 195 - 200, run -28 @34.
  17. @jhughes can you share your ski settings and what size you are on?
  18. The 7th buoy, similar to golfs 19th hole.

Thanks guys, you've made some great points. I'm not a small guy 6'2", 195 and tend to pull boats around so I'm leaning toward the MC which appears to be well cared for and I just learned that the owner has already added PP. Also, I'm a 15 to 28 off skier at 34, working back toward -32.

Thanks for the resource @DW . Does anyone know the difference between the SV23 and SV23 Diamond hulls? The response has the SV23 Diamond and the Sportster has the SV23.

Thanks for the responses. One reason I'm considering the Malibu is for Perfect Pass. My wife is my primary driver and the more I can do make it easy on her, the more I get to ski. Also, I'm not looking for a multi-sport boat (wakeboarding or surfing), I already have something for that. Just need a nice, reliable slalom tug with great wakes.
  22. Guys, I'm looking at a couple of different boats, a 2000 Sportster LX and a 93 MC 190. I'm familiar with the MC and know it is a great slalom hull but, I'm not familiar with the Sportster. I hear great things about the Response hull from the late 90's to early 2000's. Does the Sportster share the same hull or should I stick with the MC? TIA
  23. I know it would take more time but, how hard would it be to remove the buoys after you ski and then just reinstall them when you go back out.
