  1. Looking through the owners manual for the 2000 Boomerang on Moomba's website, it looks like they coded the year into the hull ID number, so I should be able to tell the year from that when I go look at it
  2. @wtrskior Yeah, I'd rather go for a malibu, prostar, or nautique, but they seem to be a bit more money around where I'm at. For reference, that one is $9000 CAD (about $6800 USD), Most of the mastercrafts and malibus around me generally have higher hours and seem to be more about $12-20K CAD. There's a 1991 Nautique for sale right now in Vancouver with similar hours, but they're asking $19K for it lol. I figure if I can pick up a moomba with low hours for $5000-$6000 USD, I'm doing alright.
  3. @ToddF Yeah I was thinking the same, that the only boat moomba was making that year was an outback, maybe a kanga? I know the Boomerang was around through out the 90's (maybe started around '91 or 92'), but not sure when they ended production. The newest I've come across is a 2000
  4. Doing some free skiing at Saguaro Lake in Arizona
  5. Anyone know what years Moomba produced the Boomerang? I came across one in my local classifieds that was listed as a 2003, but I didn't think Moomba was still producing the Boomerang in 2003. Anyone know if there's a way to figure out the year? Here's a link to the ad... Link

  8. Thanks for the input guys! I would love to demo, but it may be difficult. My local ski shop doesn't have any skis in the +68" range, so I'm mostly looking online at last years model skis (just to save some $$$). I'll most likely buy through Shuswap Ski and Board out of Calgary. They seem pretty good and I would imagine that they would probably let me swap skis if I didn't like it after trying it out.
  9. Anyone have any experience with the Vapor Alloy? I've found lots of write ups/reviews on the Lithium (which sounds like a pretty awesome ski), but not much on the Alloy. I'm looking to get back into skiing the course (I've been mostly free skiing the last 10 years) and trying to figure out a good course ski to pick up that will allow me to progress into 28' and 32' off. The ski shop I'm looking to buy from also has the HO Superlite Cx for about $80 more than the Alloy so I'm wondering if thats gonna be a way better ski for the extra $80? I saw Horton's review for the cx superlite and so far everyone I talked to has spoken favorably about the cx, so I'm seriously considering it as well. I'm 210 lbs so I was looking at the 68" Vapor and the 69" Superlite Cx. Thanks!
