  1. Thanks y’all! I think the lake Norman club is done for the season but I’ll try their Facebook group and PM’ing @Ilivetoski. If anyone else around is available let me know!
  2. Hi! I am visiting Charlotte Thursday-Sunday this weekend. This might be a long shot, but is anyone still skiing and willing to pull me? I’d love to have an excuse to ski one last time this year (whether it is on a course or not). Thanks in advance!
  3. Ski more this year... and hopefully start competing again! Finishing up school and starting a new career last summer was really hard on my ski schedule. This year should be better!
  4. Update! I did indeed stop by there on Friday and talked to the guys skiing out there! Ended up not taking my ski along so I didn't get to ski but it was nice to see the site and meet a few people. Everyone seemed to be really nice. If I am ever back up that way again I'll be sure to bring my gear!
  5. @eyepeeler Could you drop some of that contact info for me?
  6. Hey guys! I'm planning on visiting Chattanooga this Friday and Saturday (10/14-10/15). I was thinking about stopping by No Wake Lake to check it out, and maybe take a set if that's possible! Does anyone on here ski there? Even if I can't take a set I'd still like to learn more about lake membership, etc. Thanks, Susan
  7. I've got a friend who is learning to ski the course, she just started this past summer. She's hooked on skiing and has decided to get her own slalom ski! I know a little about skis but I figured I'd better ask you guys for recommendations before I tried to give anyone else advice. She's about 130 lbs, 5'4"-5'5", so I was thinking a 65" would be about right. Any make/model recommendations?
  8. Thanks for the input guys! I think I will probably try to get it fixed by eagle in the off season. I'll try contacting those other guys in the meantime and see if they can help me out. @Than_Bogan unfortunately the stitching on my vest is actually coming out :(
  9. @mlange , I am wondering if I may have just gotten one from a bad batch. Everyone I know who has an eagle vest loves them and hasn't had any problems. @BlueSki , I tried the international number too, but couldn't get it to work.
  10. I bought an Eagle vest recently and was very pleased with it for the first week or so... and then all the stitching started coming out! I've tried tying the loose ends together but that hasn't helped. Furthermore, it's not just one section, it's the whole jacket. I tried calling Eagle about it but the line immediately goes to the busy signal every time I call (weird, huh?). Has anyone else had this problem recently?
  11. Thanks for the advice guys! Definitely checking out those ski schools and that website.
  12. Thanks for the advice, everyone! I am totally fine with cooking, cleaning, and other sorts of maintenance work as long as I get to ski
  13. I'm looking to work at a ski school next summer, but I am not a great skier (one day...). I have lots of experience with kids and some retail experience, but that's about all I have to offer in the way of ski schools. I'm also not afraid to work hard, I will do anything to have a place to train for the summer! I'm currently trying to learn how to drive the course as well but that has been slow going as I do not have a ski course (I ski with friends that live on a ski lake). Anyone have any advice or ski school recommendations?
  14. Hey guys, So, I bought a O'Neill Gem size 6 vest back in March, and now it is magically too big. (Wait, what? Too big? Yeah, I know.) Anyways, I am looking to buy an Eagle vest now, but I am leery of trusting the size charts and I don't have anyone else's nearby to try on. My measurements are chest 32-33' and waist 26-27"; I'm 5'8" and about 130ish lbs. I'm thinking a small, but I'm not sure how much they stretch and I prefer my jackets as tight as possible. Anyone have any advice? Also, if anyone wants to buy a turquoise O'Neill Gem size 6 vest, I'm your girl...
