  1. Overall condition? Hours? Asking price? Pictures?
  2. Hi Everyone, I'm making the transition to only one trick ski but my ski is currently set up as LFF while I am a RFF skier. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how I should mount a new rear toe loop? My current plan is to just drill some holes and screw it on but I wasn't sure if there is a better way to this. Thanks in advance!
  3. Thanks everyone! This helps a lot
  4. I know this is probably going to be controversial but what would you consider to be "low hours" and at how many hours would walk away from a boat? Also, what are other things that you would check when evaluating an engine? Unfortunately, I'm no mechanic. Thanks again for all the advice! I'll probably go with the 196 or LXi (depending on where I find the best deal).
  5. Thanks everyone! Also, are there certain engines that I should avoid with either Malibu or Nautique? As far as the Nautique 196, @Wish , are you also referring the the PCM GT-40? I've also seen the 196s with the PCM Pro Boss 351 and Ford PCM 351 (not sure if there is any difference between the latter two).
  6. Thanks, that's one that I've been considering. Do you know if there's much difference between the slalom wakes of the TSC1 vs TSC2 hulls? I've read mixed reviews.
  7. Hi, I'm looking to buy a used ski boat but I'm not sure what would best fit my needs. Any recommendations or advice are greatly appreciated and thanks in advance! 1. It will only be used as a slalom tug so flat and soft wakes are my most important criteria (I usually ski 15 or 22 off at 32 mph) 2. It will only be used for free skiing and tracking isn't the most important to me. 3. I'm indifferent between inboards and outboards. 4. OB preferred but not required 5. ideally around 15k (20k max)
  8. haha, thanks for the advice! I had been considering a Senate too so I'll probably go with that
  9. @Horton I'm 165 lb and would consider myself an intermediate skier. I usually ski around 32/34 mph. Currently, I am riding a 65" HO Mach 1 (1987) but would like a ski that's a lot more responsive and can turn much sharper. I also like the idea of upgrading from a tunnel concave to an edge-to-edge concave ski. Thanks!
  10. So I’m thinking about upgrading my ski and buying an old Kidder 7000 but I can’t figure out what length it is. On other skis the length is usually right under the tip. Is it possible to to measure a ski yourself and get an accurate length? Also, is a ski’s length measured along the curved surface or would you measure the projection of the ski onto a flat surface? All I know is that it’s probably the 1996 model which was offered in a 65” 66” and 67” length. Does anyone have any ideas on how to measure it or where its length may be printed? Thanks!
  11. so I weigh 160 lbs and the max speed of my boat is about 32 or 34 mph. I know this isn't fast enough to barefoot but I was wondering if it would be fast enough to do a butt slide? I'm thinking about getting a barefoot suit and trying to learn how to tumble turn. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!
