  1. Dignity? I never had any to lose! However, two ankles, two eardrums and a gopro come to mind.
  2. @MISkier , gotcha that makes sense. Our subs are adjustable. We had some adjustable bungee clips that worked well too. Its always surprise when you dive down to see what you will find! "give me three zip ties looped together and I think I can make it work for the rest of the day.....we can fix it right later"
  3. bungee cord with a zip tie at the ball end and a clip to the sub.
  4. Coming from someone that has broken his ankle twice clipping a ball, I love the wally balls. We have had them for a couple of years, and I have hit them numerous times without issues. We keep them low psi and low in the water. Not sure why I am still in jail?
  5. Ordered a PWC cover and the wrong one was in the box. After several unanswered emails, I got them on the phone and they sent out another with a return form. They tried to get me to pay return shipping, but sent a label after a phone call. Also ordered a couple of other things this year with no issues. I rate them pretty good.
  6. Personal experience here. I broke my front (L) ankle about 10 years ago with wiley double pro wraps. Swapped to a release binding, then reflex about 3 years ago. Broke the same ankle with the Reflex last year. Boot released properly, guess the ankle just went first. Both ankle breaks were on the 3 ball catching the tip of the ski on the ball! This May my 23 yo son went over the front with wileys and broke his ankle pretty bad. He is on Reflex now. He took a good fall tonight and the boot released and he came up smiling, saying these things are great. I agree. Not upset about my break in the Reflex just one of those things. Reflex plus wally balls is how I roll now!!
  7. Crazy isnt it? A couple of years ago I decided to upgrade my tired 96SNOB for a good used 200. I was thinking 30K should get a nice boat. Nope, it was going to be 50K. So, I spent about 7k on the snob rebuilding the motor, new interior and new exterior stripes to match the interior. I chose a modern color scheme complete with Nautique logos from Chritstines. Looks like a new boat, and I dont feel guilty all winter.
  8. I cant speak for the composite platform but the teak platform has some nice cut outs to help getting out of the water. They arent all the way through like they used to be, which in my opinion is safer.
  9. Forgot my last issue...the expensive 3D letters that seem to fall off :) . I wish we could get the boat with the decal not installed, then install for the next owner, or have MC sell individual letters. Anyone got a t for sale??
  10. Very well said! I have been told and told myself hips up for 10 years.....finally sunk in this year when I slowed my speed down and started over again.
  11. I have been skiing with a very, very good skier for many years. He has told me everything I could possibly want to know to work on. I have watched him ski countless sets. My best skiing is his starting point. We are on different planets. We both work on getting the left foot in the front binding.....that is where it ends for me. I have to handicap it.....I get 10 extra feet and 2mph.
  12. Great looking boat! Congratulations. I have always been a CC guy (96 SNOB) but we have been using MC at the ski lake for while now. They have really grown on me. Only two complaints: Fuel gauge is crazy and the engine fan is loud. Current one is set up perfect. No tower, carpet, ski storage racks, seat heaters, and teak platform!
  13. We have ours barely inflated and sunk pretty low. Under the water there is a crease in the ball from low air pressure. Wally balls and slowing my speed have made for a great 2019 on the water.
  14. I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to thank the forum. I did a search earlier this season and discovered the Wally Skier balls. Bought six and absolutely love them. I have broken my ankle twice clipping a ball in the last 15 years of course skiing. Last night I was fighting for the 6 ball and did just what Skibug's picture showed. The ball felt like a bowl of jello, ski flickered, and I made it out the gates. Well worth the money.
  15. My oldest daughter (Clemson skier) is doing an internship in DC and says another skier has a place about an hour from DC. I dont know where, but will ask. She says she is going to try and go there on weekends. That remains to be seen!
