  1. Draining it, dam on one side and refilling it. Course will be moved to the grandstand side. Ski on!
  2. Jake Abelson should have been selected as he can potentially win trick and podium overall. Or Blaze but he could only realistically medal in Overall. Jake did get hurt, but it was after team selection so US didn’t have any intention of Overall male competitor. No male jumped for the USA on the World Stage. PanAm skiers did do both Collegiate Nationals & PanAms so no conflict. It’s frustrating that so little emphasis is on overall in US, Jaret had to make a whole tour to try to revive it after Masters threw it to the curb. It’s a lot of work for little recognition in USA but other countries are “all-in” on their Overall athletes.
  3. Hi! So Worlds was her first time through 38, a PB! She did it again at Nationals with another PB! She is so young and more to come I’m sure! Those scores put her in #25-26 in the World for OW. 🙌🏼
  4. Precisely. Very disappointing. Pulled out our sponsorship of the 3-Event scholarship at Nationals. All that work from athletes competing as 3-eventers for naught. And the other countries laughing and recording as Nate tricked 😞
  5. Hi! You can still access it on the USA waterski website and they are making changes to it and adding tournaments etc! Live scoring etc is still fine. Lots of the website still works, just can’t enter tourneys online or check past scorebooks etc. It’s not all down, just some of the important stuff 😂
  6. Right! Would love our refund for the practice ride ticket we couldn’t use and the time spent waiting there just to be told no practice.

  8. Every tournament has a Junior division! Head over to https://www.usawaterski.org go to Events and then Event Search or Register and sort by state to find a local tournament. Still quite a few left this season! Some offer online entry or others mail-in. We here can advise which are a good fit for first tournament (for example Class C are more affordable and family-friendly while the Record tournaments are $ and more serious)
  9. The bulk of the value is in the lots, zoned and approved for homesites. Virtually impossible in Sacramento County, a process that takes years. (4 years in our case to get ONE homesite on lake 3) Good project for an investor/builder that is into watersports. (With deep pockets to bring in utilities) Lots of potential for the right person or group of skiers.
  10. It’s insane $$$ and they are marketing it as 20 mins from the Sac Airport. Already false advertising as it’s a good 45 minutes. Also who is this World Class Driver they speak of? It’s all bizarre and hope the details get ironed out because it’s really off! And to be skiing in front of winery guests, too!? Hmmmm
  11. https://www.instagram.com/p/CgpYSxWL1dn/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= Incredible OM skier Aaron Davies just snapped his ulna, radius and the handle. ? His advice: “All I can say is consider buying a handle guard as your next purchase”
  12. @LoopSki The lake in Redbluff is awesome! Skiing year round. Not dry
  13. So you will still need 2 bags, a jump bag and a slalom bag for trick/slalom. Between the 2 you will be able to get it all in there including handles. It’s a balancing act between the 2 bags to get the jump bag under 50 pounds for airline travel.(overweight charge is gnarly) We love our Stokes Bags for Jump gear and Dakine Snowboard Roller 165CM on Amazon for the rest!
  14. ASU is an amazing option. Sooo much to do, from hiking to open water boating. They waterski year round with organized coaching. There are also many snow skiers on the team. They are within 3 hours of Snowbowl and make team trips to Mammoth, Vail, Purgatory, Tahoe etc. Its pretty crazy how much they do. From Hawaii to Moomba, the team is very tight.
