  1. Dock ropes and tying up floating dock for winter mooring. Also makes a food ski boot carrier.
  2. I watched some of the webcast, saw Jasons' first round Saturday. The announcer was commenting on how deep Jason got in the turns and remarked on how much load the line must be under with his style. It is impressive to watch in person, I've seen him run 39s at his home site, from shore and from the boat. It is amazing, looks like he is going to rip the pylon right out of the boat. Also saw his 5.5@39 om Sunday, incredible, thought he was going to get thru it after he turned 3.
  3. Let’s go farther north, Nick Leuthauser for the win!
  4. @LoopSki Forgot to mention, I'm not young by any stretch, had the shoulder surgery day after turning 65.
  5. @LoopSki Sorry if you answered this somewhere but you said, "Surgery wasn't covered by Insurance last time". So did you actually have the surgery and it wasn't covered? Or did you not have the surgery at all because it wasn't covered? Either way, I dislocated my left shoulder 2 yrs ago in a tournament. I found I could ski without any difficulty after a couple months of just PT but I only free skied, no buoys. Shoulder felt fine, thougth i was good to go but 6 months later took a minor fall out the front snow skiing and the shoulder dislocated again, shocked me how easily it popped out. Opted for surgery last year, shoulder seems fine skiing so far but no buoys yet due to other health issues. If you can, I would get the surgery using a really good sports medicine Doc and do the PT religiouly after. I did for 6 months and then some and right now 14 months post surgery I have full strength and ROM and no pain at all. Surgery for me was well worth it. Good luck with your shoulder.
  6. My 2 cents. I dislocated my shoulder 2yrs ago at a tournament.(July 2021) First time, I was 64 then. Hurt like hell until it was put back in by the ER doc a couple hours later. i used the sling for a week or so but couldn't see a doc for 3 weeks. Physical exam by P.A. By then the pain was gone and I only used the sling for a week, got some PT exercises and stretches and it felt better within a month. Started free skiing about 2 months out and it felt ok. But ended up getting an MRI, turns out there was a big tear in the top Rotator cuff tendon and partial tear in the bicep tendon. Still felt ok and thought I would see how it felt in the spring. But took a minor fall snow skiing which resulted in second dislocation. i was shocked how easily it popped out of the socket, didn't even hurt that much. But it hurt by the time i got to the ER a couple hours later. I wouldn't think skiing tournaments in mid Sept would be a good idea. Get the MRI and a good Ortho doc. I ended up having surgery in June 2022. No fun but ended up good after 6 months of PT. Full ROM and strength. Skiing again this spring, don't even notice the shoulder. Problem is at this age, you get one thing fixed and something else seems to go wrong. Kind of like keeping an old car running. Have only skied a few times this season, started having first time ever issue w Sciatica pain just after snow ski season ended in April Getting PT for that now but it seems to be lingering way to long for for me. Can't seem to catch a break. Good luck, hope you get back on the water asap, but don't rush it.

  8. Up and down winter here in the Adirondacks but still enough snow for good Cross country skiing even at night. Solar powered motion detector lights, stay on for 30 seconds at a time.
  9. https://wavecel.com/ Check this company out. Supposed to be a better helmet design but I'm not sure it would work for Water skiing.
  10. My son the scientist says to go with "Physics Breaker"
  11. @clausy There is another discussion started back on 3/12/22 titled "Post Rotator Cuff Surgery/ Goode Power Vest" Lots of good info and opinions from many skiers who have had Rotator cuff issues & surgery. I have been checking it out, I am 3 weeks post Rotator Cuff tendon repair surgery with a bit of bicep tendon repair also. Age will be a factor in recovery time of course, you are a young guy, I just got my Medicare Card. Hope to be back fully for next year. Good luck with your recovery.
  12. On the list now. Dislocated left shoulder last July 31st in a tournament, hit 5 ball @32 off while reaching(late) and hit the ball. Ouch. PT and rest, free skiing by late Sept. January 2022 took an OTF fall snow skiing, very minor fall but arm outstretched to break the fall and the 2nd dislocation took place. Surgery 6/20/22, repaired rotator cuff tendon and bicep tendon. MRI previous fall didn't show the bicep tendon tear so doc had to fix that while he was in there. I did get to free ski a fair amount from mid May till the surgery so the season wasn't a total loss but done for this year. Starting formal PT next week. Hoping for full recovery and get back to tournament skiing next season. @coach3 I feel your pain, hope you are doing well. I am feeling better than expected based on other shoulder surgery patients horror stories.
  13. Yeah it's April and I did get out to ski on 4/19/22.
