  1. GiveGo is not available here in DK - :(
  2. @AdamCord - thanks for your help - fin works good on same settings as original (wing 5) - ski feels lighter and faster - now I only need smaller fine tuning - as it turns a bit to fast/"narrow arc" (32 off/34mph) compared to old fin and my likings (I want a little larger arc - so will try back 0,01) - off course its also a matter of adopting to the faster ski .... I think this fin will help me getting 35 nailed this season. amasing how much this fin changes the ski. Please continue your good work on skis and fins :)
  3. @AdamCord sugestions for fin adjustments needed (d3-arc S); Standard fin were perfekt on 2.467 6.963 0.763 wing 7.5 Tried CG on 2.467 6.963 0.736 (cant go more forward without filing) wing 6 Too much drag - very narrow turns (but not overturning) - I need to work a lot faster and harder Tried wing 5 and DFT 0.700 (back 0.03) => feel even more drag.... I have an idea that I need to try forward (from 0.736),shorter deeper - 0.015 each (when reading all these posts). Is it correctly understood? Your help is very appreciated
  4. Thanks @AdamCord - I always try adjust the fin to complete my off side turn, getting and holding angle to 1st wake, as good as possible - because thats my weekest spot .... (=> forward will drive tip down through turn) Maybe these new fins will change how we need to think when tuning ....
  5. @AdamCord you write: For instance going forward and shorter to keep LE neutral will both be moves that make the tip ride higher. Conversely back and longer will both make the tip ride lower. Are you saying that forward move make the tip ride higher? OR are you simply saying that both moves in combination (F.ex. going forward + shorter=> tip high) I always learned that going forward with the fin (stand alone) would make the tip ride lower. btw exited to try your fin - just want to get in shape before changing ski setup
  6. @SkiJay You have mentioned in another thread (whisperFin unboxing), that you have a solution for asymmetrical smear - did you post this somewhere or when do you plan to share your secret? :) Thanks for a super book and a lot of good information on your web.
  7. @Ed_Johnson - was the prerelease with a new boot from reflex? I had some bad experience with a new boot that kept releasing because the screw holding the back strap wasnt countersinked => if the boot bent backwards (after a not perfect turn) it hit the release..... BUT if you have fixed the angle on your boots its most likely not the problem.
  8. I still have not received my 2 ordered fins: order # 214 from 27th of june ??
  9. Hi Brizzo, I have a 3D ARC S, I normally ski 4-5@35off (34 mph) I tried the D3 EVO this summer and I found that the 2 skis are very similar in their "arc" (how narrow/wide the turn is) which made it very easy to ski on the EVO compared to my ARC S. I didn't change to the EVO because I didn't feel that it would help my skiing (the difference being to little). The EVO felt faster but also a bit more unstable. I didn't move the fin - just tried it with factory settings, so it might be "better" than the ARC, once you fine tune bindings/fin. I wouldnt worry about the transition - its very easy comming from the ARC
  10. @Horton 34 mph or 36 mph? I guess you ski 36 mph and therefore probably would prefer 67" if you ski 34 mph?
  11. @Ed_Johnson thanks for sharing - what is “small Ventral”?
  12. Hmmm I know "pulling short" and change edge early (just after CL) is the new black... but look at CP here running a very nice 41 off... changing edge after 2nd wake wash: Maybe the timing of edgechange is dependent on style and type of ski? I would like hear you experts comments on that :)
  13. @AdamCord do you ship to Denmark (northern europe)? The fin sounds great
  14. Point taken, I promise you I'm not throwing anything out the window :) I'm just saying what wording makes more sence to me - and that upswing and downswing and hence, the pendulum/gravity effect that comes into my mind - doesn't help me understand the importance of timing, speed, angle, staying connected etc. But perfectly ok to describe where the skier is compared to CL
  15. SUPER thread, Im learning a lot, however I don't buy the "downswing" "upswing" concept - that it should be any easier to get angel/speed in the "downswing" - we are skiing round a pylon yes, but it must be the angel of the ski compared to the direction/power of the boat that matters - and this possible angle/power must be greatest in the CL? But the sooner we build and carry speed the less (total) time to cross the course and the more space... (therefore we prefere to pull/lean max before the CL) @Bruce_Butterfield and @Chris Rossi nails this in my oppinion.... Like a race with cars - the most important is speed out of the curves. Simple to read and understand - take a lot of practice to perform. Maybe stuff for skijays next book :)
  16. @skialex - The boot is not loosely connected - it was only to make more angle (distance) from the back of the boot to the release. @cacman - ok but then why not use the black boot? I think I will just go back on the black one - I dont ski better with the white, but it looks better ;)
  17. will also try to move release to front hole => more angel on release :)
  18. Thanks a lot @ski6 and @skialex, Yes the cuff is pulled back on the picture - as said I never had this issue with the old black boot - same setup (as recommended from Reflex). I will try your suggestions
  19. @ski6 great the video #1 is exactly what is happening for me - i will move the screw (and maybe angle the release more) the angle of the binding in your video looks very much like mine today. incredible that Reflex doesn't give more accurate measures for release placement and angle and describes possible problems with thickness of strap or screw not being countersunk. last resort is back to the good old black boot.
  20. in the image the release has not been mounted/clicked in - the plastic release doesn't touch the steel frame - but I will double check - and also try to move the release forward => more angel
