  1. Keith, I think you're right. Thanks. @beuchsr, not sure if it's OK to talk price in this forum, but if it is $450.00.
  2. And yes, it's a drag to be selling this stuff. But it's reality. The real drag is not being able to play guitar because I can't hold on to a flatpick. First world problems I guess.
  3. I should have been more specific. I've bought and sold boats and other stuff on SIA over the years, and I'm aware of all of the places I could sell this stuff. What I should have asked is whether you think I would be better off selling it all together or separately. Not looking for top dollar, and would prefer the simplest way to do it. Thanks.
  4. A couple of years ago, to celebrate turning 70, I had gotten in very good shape to get back into skiing. I bought brand a new Radar Katana, Radar Profile R & L boots, an HRT, and a Radar bag. First time I tried to get up - not on the Katana - I pulled my hamstring. So that took care of 2018. Same routine for 2019 and 2020 - injured my right hand, not ski related, and have no gripping strength. I have finally admitted to myself that it's not going to happen. I do get up on an HO Hovercraft occasionally. So I want to sell all of my never used stuff. I would prefer to sell it all together rather than split it up. I just want it to get used rather than collect dust. Any ideas?
  5. I'm surprised noone has mentioned the flotation foam in the hull. Depending on the age and construction of the boat this may be your biggest issue. It can be like a sponge and may never dry out. My skiing buddy has a '90 Prostar that sank in Floyd (1999). It is still running great but lists to starboard, so not any good for the course. The foam never dried out and it is heavier on the driver's side. The electrical and mechanical issues are no big deal, just stuff to deal with.
  6. I am insurance poor, being a contractor. Too many vehicles, boats, liability, etc. Anyway, you want to compare coverage before price. They will all be about the same price if you get the same coverage. The internet carriers are always cheap, but the coverage is usually not very good. Use an agent.
  7. We go to Sunapee for a couple of weeks each summer. We've been there over the 4th, late July, mid-August, and over Labor Day. For the most part it is not ski-able after 9:00 in the morning on weekends. Sometimes during the week it can be OK later, especially around Labor Day when the crowds are mostly gone. And as with anywhere, the best water is just after it rains. The best area is in Georges Mills, especially if there is a north wind. There's a submerged course there, but I think it's a members only thing. The lake gets very rough on weekends especially, with a lot of Boston money riding around in big boats in circles really slowly. There is a fair number of die hard skiers out every morning from around 6:00 - 9:00. Some days you can run almost the length of the lake if you are early enough. Sunapee is a very beautiful lake with the cleanest water you've ever seen. A chart of the lake is a necessity because there are rock formations all over the place, many just under the surface depending on the lake level. But everything is well marked. There are only a couple of places to launch, so we always rent a place with a dock or boathouse to avoid the hassle. We learned the hard way to confirm with the agent that whatever is there for securing your boat is up to the task. I was assured that the cleats were adequate at one place and the cleats and posts pulled out twice. I finally had to show them what to use and how to install them. Depending on where you stay there can be a lot of rollers. The inlets are pretty quiet and are no wake zones. The area around there is really nice, lots of hiking, etc on Mt Sunapee. Decent restaurants, only one that is accessible by boat. What lakes do you usually go to? We grew up on Lake Champlain, so Sunapee seemed small at first, but we like it there.
  8. I have the same Mastercraft/Lapoint ski - even the same side. Got it from Jennifer Leachman. I skied on it for a really long time. Great ski.
  9. This is the prettiest boat I ever had. Never should have sold it. It was special ordered reverse color '89 PS. I sold it to get the POS Nautique behind it. Big mistake.
  10. Have you confirmed that the ignition switch is OK? You can have power in the On position and intermittent power in Start if the switch is bad.
  11. Wow, something totally new in videos - drone footage and electronic music.
  12. Is that MC an asymetric? If it is there is a LFF and RFF. I skied on one for about 15 years and loved it.
  13. The color guy was Bode Miller. Pretty sure he knows what he's talking about.
  14. I've had PF three times over the years. The cure for me has always been stretching the hams and achilles/calves. The best way to stretch the calves is to put the front of your feet on a stair and drop your heels, let it stretch. Do it as often as you can throughout the day. The thing about PF for me is that it didn't get gradually better, it just disappeared. Good luck.
  15. @swc5150, I was going to post a pic of my Mastercraft Assymetric Right but you beat me to it. Got it from Jennifer Leachman in March 1988. I think the first Mahas are beautiful. Still have our Cypress Gardens Alfredo Mendoza and a Dick Pope.
  16. @Andre, re. ski club, I contacted them but never got a response.
  17. @jcamp, I live near Chapel Hill, NC, 27517, 5 minutes from Farrington ramp on Jordan Lake.
  18. I think the wake behind the S&S would be a drag after the Hydrodyne. Plus you have brought the Hydrodyne to where it is, why not enjoy it. And if there is such a great market for the S&S, sell it and make a few bucks for your effort. Unless, like me, you need to have a project.
  19. My goal is to get back into skiing after a 10 year or so drought (noone to drive the boat), and be able to run the course on my 70th birthday in September. I'll be happy to be able to free ski w/o getting hurt to start. Right now I'm trying to find a couple of guys who will commit to skiing 3-4 times a week.
  20. We go to Sunapee for a week or so every summer. It's a beautiful lake with lots of inboards, classic to new. I haven't found a course yet but there are always a lot of free skiers out early before the insanity sets in. It's the cleanest natural lake in New England. Make sure to bring a chart - there are lots of rocks.
