  2. The Streetcars in New Orleans do not turn around but rather just go in reverse down the same track. This is how they reverse the seats...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20B4J9qJzxQ
  3. I can tell you from experience this is an awesome boat in your price range. Owner is a personal friend and this thing is in perfect condition. http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=50033
  4. PS " i really love my boat" Here she is on her 20th birthday
  5. I'ma agree with @auskier. The only thing I read into your request is that you might be in the market for open bow vs closed. However, let me through in a monkey wrench and see if I can't "change your mind". I would seriously consider the 2001 MB Sports Boss 190 I saw at boatsales.com.au, not sure the hours, but worth a look. Not many mention these boats. MB's are top quality from design to finish all the way. My '97 with 1000 hours on it, still has the original upholstery and carpet (I purchased replacement of each when I bought the boat), because it still looks new. I got no stake in this one but no-one has ever not loved skiing mine. Waterski Magazine 2001 Test team rated the wake size, the wake hardness, the spray and tracking all World Class. Read WS Mag review here: https://www.waterskimag.com/features/2001/06/14/mb-sports-boss-190 Happy hunting
  6. Men's 7 ...soap and water is all you need.
  7. @swc5150 vapor tested Q45, Helix,T1, T2, A3. H2 and V-TYPE were not available. I really liked the Q45 too.
  8. I am with Bishop - Demo, Demo, Demo... My skiing is much like yours, love it but not enough water time to go where others are going or have gone. Facing this fact alone requires us to ask why buy newer or better? Or - "Should I pay for coaching, ski school, ski vacation - new boat?" Should you buy? YES - not because you're wife gave you the "green light"... because "When was the last time you're wife steered you in the wrong direction?" nuff said What should you buy? YOU'RE SKI - My experience leads me to highly recommend the demo programs that are offered. Demoing is actually a fun process in itself. Although you too may find several skis you like as I did after testing, you will naturally lean toward YOU'RE SKI. It will also give you a comfort when writing that check. my experience in short... I skied 4 times last summer (boo, yuck, what's wrong with you?) . Last fall I demoed a half dozen skis and bought a new 2015 with boots. The new skis are not only better, they are way more FUN! I ski for the shear pleasure of skiing. The brand and model of the ski I like should not be as important to you as which ski you will like. Just so you know, I would have been happy with any of the skis I demoed, however by trying several I was able to easily pick a favorite. I skied more on demos last fall than I did all year on my own ski. Although, I may have tossed the towel on skiing with the 'big boys', I have not tossed the towel on skiing and I do not plan to anytime soon. And by skiing I mean chasing buoys. It's just that much fun, there are many other benefits but because I enjoy it is at the top of the list for me. here's to riding my new ski soon. Haven't ridden it yet? boo, yuck, what's wrong with you? good luck and have fun
  9. @gt2003 2-day school in June, you made an excellent choice to go early rather than later (IMO). Another weekend at the end of season could be beneficial as well. The only thing I would like to add is... Keep in mind it is ski SCHOOL, take notes and lots of them... video, audio, pencil and paper, whatever. You will return from Dallas with a ton of entirely new info and insight, store it somewhere for reference. Some concepts and/or instruction may sound too advanced or even ridiculously crazy and then you get to that point in your skiing sometime later this summer and you say to yourself "What did Alan say about that?" just my 2-cents Have Fun!
  10. sweet deal, advancement in a dry suit? cheers! my 2cents on your question...-22 or -25 start. Only this, if you tournament ski do not forget that -22 is a real pass and -25 does not exist. I began skipping -22 altogether when I started running 32's. -22 was a given, right? In the next tourny I trashed my -22 gate/1 ball, fought it to 5 ball with no possibility of reaching 6 ball. It just got uglier and uglier until it was comical. If it were me and considering the time of year...I would go with the -25 2 pass warm up until the start of your season and then back up to -22 start in preparation. If tournaments are not your thing...drop the -22, truly way too much rope.
  11. @MattP, trust you will love InTow product, but curious as to why you have decided to try? @Than_Bogan, I remember advice recieved a few years back...(paraphrased) Whenever I move to a new line length, I start the gates early, way early, like 20 feet or so. This allows me to get the width I need on 1 ball which in turn allows me to ski deeper into the course at the new line length. Then, as I begin to complete the pass on a 'regular' basis I 'sneak up' on the gates. This allows you to practice the shorter length at 2 ball, 3 (and so on) before you even attempt to master gate/1...make sense? It's like learning a new dance...you gotta get on the dance floor to learn it. I will say this, it is hard to put into practice, as we want to (and are taught to) run it entrance gate to exit gate. Not exit gate to entrance gate. But it works...
  12. @Than_Bogan card is from the Monopoly DEAL game. Which came out after Hasbro purchased Parker Bros. Mille Bornes is also owned by Hasbro. The things you learn on wiki. Just amazing eh? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e3/Monopoly_Deal.jpg/220px-Monopoly_Deal.jpg maybe I should add a catch phrase: "Just Say No, Go CarbonPro" I'm with @wish, repower when the time comes. Ya'll can see by my profile that I own a '97 MB Sports. GREAT boat! 17 years and It has the original carpet and upholstery, because it does not need to be replaced. The original PCM GT40, with too many hours (for most) but still produces excellent times per the aftermarket PP, because it too does not need to be replaced. Soft wakes, strong pull, starts everytime... I got 16K tied up in this thing (woah, hold on there) 30, 40, 50...90K? why? ZO? "meh" SHOWIN' IT OFF
  13. This is an easy one...$70K replace crushed vents at your expense replace boat return my $$$.
  14. Sounds like you may know where your new job is and you have yet to choose a location for a new home. With a ski site being part of your equation? If this is true ask yourself the following questions: 1. Do you wish to live on your future ski lake or do you plan to drive to ski as well as to work? 2. If you plan to drive, how far are you willing to drive to work? To ski? SA and the surrounding area is quite large. All the private ski sites around (there are none inside) SA are also property owner sites with the exception of Frame Switch which is a ski lease lake. You will find you have three basic choices: A. Live on the lake and drive to work. B. Live near work and drive to lake. C. Live somewhere in between, roughly, and commute to the lake and to work. Which site simple depends on how far you are willing to drive and where you new job is actually located. I live at GSP and drive an hour to North Austin everyday. My choice. From Downtown San Antonio, per google maps (actual times may vary) drive times are ... GSP - 45 minutes North SMRR - 1 hour North Austin Aquaplex 1 hour 10 minutes North Frame Switch 1 hours 50 minutes North Angel lake 2 hours East Lakes of Katy 2.5 hours East Nothing West (solid rock) and nothing South (mmm? just nothing) of San Antonio. If your new job is in SA proper, south of and/or west of downtown I would point you to SMRR or GSP, as mentioned. These are the closets lakes to downtown SA proper. Both of which are actually closer to New Braunfels and San Marcos than to SA. They are also within 15 minutes of each other but are very different by design. Several folks own and ski at both locations. If you are on the Northside of town the Aquaplex comes into play. East side Angel and maybe Katy. Although, I have never skied Angle, I would say ALL of the local sites are great places to ski and/or live. So, Welcome to Texas, where the water is warm, the skiers are friendly and the BBQ is arguably the best. PS You are going to need to adjust your fin this summer. 8-) Horton has placed the google earth ski site file here on BOS: ballofspray.com/home-v16/google-earth-ski-sites Here you will also see Utopia River Ranch near SMRR, this is a private site and Ski Quest near Aquaplex, this is now a wakebaord cable lake. hope this helps
  15. why not just run a pylon down your rail and eliminate boat. Less energy, no wake
