  1. @pregom it's ok, I know you aren't great with computers ;)
  2. Oh....THAT is my problem, I am LFF so I should be on a Connelly! @ALPJr Thank you for showing me my fatal flaw is actually with my ski :)
  3. @prk I wonder how much of a difference there is between the base MC and the BS...
  4. @bananaron I think you are right in that you need to get people on them (and behind them). When I did my swaterski event to raise money for brain tumor research last year I had a couple slalomers ask for the other boat because they had never seen a gekko before. After they skied it, they were very pleasantly surprised. That is SO hard to do at scale though. Every skier has been behind and/or driven at least some iteration of a Mastercraft, Malibu, or Natique. When he relaunched it is even harder because now you also have people wondering if he would still be around in 5 years :( I hope he resurfaces somewhere, as I said, one of the best guys I have ever worked with as far as customer service.
  5. @Andre Nope...she is just THAT good :)
  6. @bananaron Hell no :) @6balls I have repropped it and the hole shot is fine, there isn't really any lag and it did help the wake a bit...but, it doesn't have the hole shot of an LTI with a powerslot :)
  7. @6balls I have an 02, 04? Some where around that. The upholsterer that I have had replace some panels comments on the quality they put into it. He was pretty impressed. That said, I wouldn't mind a little more support for the drivers seat lumbar. The mercruiser I have is representative of the time 315hp or so, fuel injected. The carpet? I still have the original, but it it starting to mat. I absolutely love the boat, I do wish it had a little more out of the hole, but I am comparing it against my friends prostar with an lt1...soo :) Even the wake doesn't seem particularly hard until it gets cold, then I feel it. I do wish it didn't take on water so easily, both over the front and the rear. It makes public lake boating...ummm...interesting. Mark was just one of the best. I bought this boat used, and he would pick up the phone every time I called and help me in any way he could. There is a green Gekko for sale on ski it again with a 6.2...I would love to know how that skis :)
  8. @dchristman can I just send you my puck? The turnaround time for Canada is crazy right now :)
  9. It is going to be interesting to see if it changes the mentality of the other skiers going into the event.
  10. @Windsurfnut If you can find that page, it would be VERY useful! I went to their site, but there are a lot of different updates.
  11. Breaking in a new board. btw...that table and light are AWESOME! @swc5150 Just did stage 1 on my wifes BMW...I don't understand why it didn't come from the factory like that...makes the car a LOT more fun!
  12. @pregom all those years of running barefoot have saved you money on needing to ski in booties :)
  13. But for a good cause :) btw...Stokes did pretty well! The thighs got cold toward the end...but not bad!
  14. @ReallyGottaSki I believe they are public, if you have an issue, let me know and I will see if I can get you a different link. We were laughing that we got wetter at the snow ski portion of the event than the waterski part since it was raining on the mountain pretty good. Even still, the skiing (or boarding in my case) was great...probably because we all but had the mountain to ourselves.
  15. This event exceeded our wildest expectations, especially in a COVID year. Some people have asked if they can still donate, and the answer is yes! We are hoping to close the books this week: https://websterwaterski.org/product/swaterski-sponsor-a-skier/ SwaterSki 2020 was a combined Water Ski and Snow Ski event on December 12, 2020 to benefit the National Brain Tumor Society in memory of Christine Menard, whom passed away from glioblastoma in December of 2016. 30 skiers from various clubs helped us, even as far away as Maryland, with this event, braving the freezing water and the wet conditions to help raise over $13,000! We can't think the participants, sponsors and are photographers for helping with this great event! It wouldn't have been possible without USA Waterski providing the insurance! Photos by: Katie Morrison, Liam Menard, Rhianna Curotto, and members of our Collective who participated. You can see a LOT of pictures on Facebook: https://facebook.com/media/set?vanity=WebsterWaterSki&set=a.3616963315008484 On behalf of my family, I want to thank the waterski community for embracing this crazy idea!
  16. What it feels like when you wake up super early to go ski the course on a public lake and someone drives right through the middle before you yell 'gear!'
  17. Wachusett announced they aren't going to open this weekend after the soaking from earlier this week. Cindy and Shiri both said we are getting doused again this weekend, which makes waterskiing nearly impossible... SO, WE ARE RESCHEDULING THE SWATERSKI FUNDRAISER FOR DECEMBER 12! It looks like there are some colder temps in the works next week, so hopefully Wachusett can reopen and we have a decent enough day to waterski. As of now, we have raised over $12,000 and have 30 skiers participating. I really appreciate everyone's support! If you would still like to donate: https://www.websterwaterski.org/product/swaterski-sponsor-a-skier/
  18. Since I recorded this last night, we have received 15 more donations! Looking forward to adding to the who is skiing in December thread this Sat :) If you can support the event, your donation will be appreciated! https://www.websterwaterski.org/product/swaterski-sponsor-a-skier/
  19. With much trepidation.... We are at about $4,000 in donations! If I can get an additional $500 in sponsorships, I will wear this (probably over a wetsuit). Anyone who donates $100 or more from this Friday the 13th on will get an autographed picture of me wearing this sans wetsuit. https://websterwaterski.org/events/swaterski-snow-water-ski-on-december-5th-to-fight-cancer/ We still have room for about 5 more participants this year...who is in?
  20. Been thinking about building something that would double as a snow ski/board/ Waterski rack...this might do the trick instead!
  21. @Broussard Mix in some bourbon and maybe even the mysterious in-tow gloves... ;)
  22. @Chad_Scott :) We shared a lake house for a couple seasons with some friends...Florida Georgia line nearly crushed my will to live.
