  1. For what you are talking about...a good old fashioned Weber set up properly will do the trick.. Or you can build a smoker out of a 55 gallon drum like I did :)
  2. @ColeGiacopuzzi You have the 66" Vapor as well? Which bindings did you pair with it?
  3. I am about 165lbs, 5 foot 7ish. I just picked up a 2017 66" Vapor pro to replace/supplement my 2012 Senate C. Any suggestions for bindings and initial setup?
  4. For speeding up recover...go see a massage therapist. I took a real bad slack hit on a dock start some years ago and couldn't grip a coffee cup! The stretches, theraband, and therapist helped me get rid of the pain...but it does creep back up every now and then. Playing guitar really pisses off that tendon too.
  5. Went through this with my Mom last year...will be praying for a positive outcome. Depending on the outcome of the pathology I may have some insight.
  6. @pregom and I started filming the next sharknado movie...
  7. I am hoping to get some coaching for the family. The kids don't know we are going to Disney yet :)
  8. I am going to Disney this march with my family and looks like I will have 2 days to ski, are there places to stay near by? Most importantly...is the lake devoid of crocs and gators? :)
  9. What is the age/height range for the 66?
  10. I have been trying to decide if I should get the new Senate or a used Vapor...I love my Senate C, but after taking @pregom Vapor for a ride, it feels like a 57 Chevy compared for a Corvette.
  11. @RAWSki I like the platform on mine, and my GTO looks great in the water...but you better time those big waves right or you are getting wet!
  12. @Greg Banish I do the same. @pregom on the other hand has interest in driving for those ski racers :)
  13. I have been having a similar issue with long lock times and occasional running away. I emailed Perfect Pass and got this: The version 9 software has a feature that records GPS error. You can see these errors in the system logs file. Press the MENU and UP keys at the same time, use the MENU key to get to DIAGNOSTICS and UP key to select. Press the MENU key to get to SYSTEM LOGS and the UP key to select. You can also test the system in RPM mode to see the difference between RPM and GPS control. Some boats run better with the RPM setting "inverted". You can invert the RPM in the engine settings screen. Make sure to recalibrate the system if you change to inverted.
  14. @waterskigirl I have one that I got at Christmas, is this something I should contact them about? btw...I LOVE this vest.
  15. As Pregom's ski partner...I approve this message :)
  16. @mwetskier My theory on anything taking water from the engine is to only take it after the engine is done using it.

  18. I have become more cautious about my hearing as I play music with a band and had some vertigo issues. To correct the vertigo, they put tubes in my ears and one didn't heal right...so, I HAD to wear ear plugs. As I started doing it, I realize, I kind of liked it. It further blocked out the world and the ear protection was an added bonus. I figure if driving with your window down can damage your hearing, waterskiing can't be much different. A couple kids at our club had some ruptured ear drums from barefooting falls..so...ya...just a little added protection.
  19. It looks like I am taking the kids to Disney World in March, are ski schools open that time of year if I snuck down a couple days early?
  20. Wires are just a good thing to replace...especially if you have a miss. There can be a micro tear in the sheathing that arcs and causes a miss. After that you start getting into ignition modules and the like...but cap, rotor, wires, plugs...I plan to do those every season just because of the conditions they are used in.
  21. I have to second San Marcos. I haven't been to the ski site there, but my inlaws lived in the city for many years. If nothing else, you are within driving distance of Lockhart, TX...if you aren't a vegetarian, that place is mecca. The Kolaches at Centerpoint, the breakfast burritos at LaFonda...this is why I couldn't live in San Marcos...I would be too fat to get around the balls!
