  1. I thought this was really insightful... Good stuff @JoelHowley
  2. XXS Wileys - I'd suggest the CBO - got it for my son and its plenty tight enough
  3. Just got a CBO for my 8 yr son as recommended by these guy. Its perfect! and I'd say is the go for a recreational skier that uses the course occasionally. You can order the slalom wraps down the track if you progress and need more support!
  4. @gregy - all sorted now - thanks - this post helped. Not sure why they supply the wiring for both single and double types of pucks - that confused me. I thought the single puck would have a single connection back to the harness but there are two - I assume a power and communication. anyway its fixed now - testing on the weekend. I positioned the single puck under my windscreen - nice and flat - hoping that works ok.
  5. @gregy - I'm installing my new ZO 3 event kit. Having issue's trying to figure out the puck wiring - in your antenna harness photo above what goes where? I'm confused....any help would be great
  6. thanks everyone - my ROM is getting there... really need to strengthen my calf back. I'll try a few of those suggestions and hopefully can get into a few comps in the back end of the season over here - I was aiming for nationals rating this year but that will have to wait another 12 months... This is 3 years after smashing my other foot in a slalom accident and being off the water for a year. now im in a OB4 system to protect my front foot - never had any worries from an rtp... fingers crossed!
  7. Hi all Has anyone out there returned to skiing from a torn achillies? I'm three months post Op and walking with a slight limp still. Muscle in my calf has wasted away and I think will be the hardest part of the recovery - I've started a gym program to help. I have had a couple of social skis and what I think I need to de-load my achilles is a heel lift for my RTP - how do people add a heel lift? ie: is it a wedge between the ski and the underside of the rtp of some kind of foam glued or attached to the top side of the rtp where your heel sits? Appreciate the help
  8. I was in the same situation 2 years ago - I went with the OB4 front binding only. I'm not a short line skier and really wanted safety first - more release options with OB4 so I went that way. It took me ages to get use to the hardshell but it was well worthwhile - I'm back skiing better than before and have had it release really well. The only thing is that it pre released on me in a comp - I didn't check my settings and it had somehow changed?? (that was over 9 months of use). Really important to spend the time first up getting your settings right and writing them down so you can check them every so often. MOB realease is the same design - @mmosley899 knows his stuff and helped me out heaps!! go with him!!
  9. Ski every sat and through summer before work once a week - my family ski but it still at times is a burden on my wife. We both work and study so time is tight. I take the kids and they love tubing and cruising in the boat - they are a bit of a hassle if its just us over in the slalom course as they get bored. They are normally keen for their go which always comes after our sets. As long as the kids are having fun I dont really care what they do behind the boat - they are mad keen and if I go without them they are not happy... Overall I really enjoy having a long day at the lake with the whole family mixing with some slalom and free skiing... good times
  10. I use OB4 - more for protecting my foot from injury than a sore neck - releasing in an awkward way still results in sore necks from time to time. OB4 like anything mechanical requires regular basic maintenance and double checking release settings...
  11. Hey all. Has anyone fit a hot water shower on a closed cooling 450 pcm? I assume it is ready to be done with kit of some sort. Any help would be great
  12. looks nice - coming from a rubber boot I would have gone this one for sure but now I'm use to the full hardshell. ps: OB4 saved me again yesterday - a bad OTF/ side on kinda fall - chasing a 5 ball nate smith style... idiot!!
  13. @Wish thanks for the initial post you put up - I should have stopped reading then - that will help me
