  1. This might sound crazy, but I've learned the hard way that your shorts make a big difference when it comes to drag. Heavy trunks that absorb water are a killer. Lightweight trunks make a HUGE difference.
  2. @Skoot1123 Agreed for Oakley shorts. I am a big fan. It is shocking how big of a difference it makes to have lightweight shorts that don't drag water.
  3. My first "real" waterski was a KD7000 from the early 2000's. The blue one, just like in this picture: It whistled like crazy. I've never had another ski do that... at least not to nearly the same extent.
  4. I've never been to Florida. But, being from frozen Alberta, this is what I imagine literally every drop to be like.
  5. Apropos of nothing...
  6. Two things: 1) Ski. Put the boat in the water. Go to the cabin. Go to @schafer 's place. --> Summer 2020 was a weird one due to COVID, which resulted in zero days on the water. 2) Get a new rope. Because @Horton says that's what we are supposed to do.
  7. This feels like the real life incarnation of some BOS threads. @Horton is the zookeeper. He can probably tell us who each of the pandas are :) This video of pandas just being pandas while a zookeeper desperately tries to rake leaves -
  8. Hi @ballsohard - I live in Canada (Alberta) and have an InTow handle and rope. Both are awesome. Brenda is great to deal with and I would 100% recommend.
  9. This comment could be considered off topic... but technically it is not as it directly relates to the video. @Horton - I would like to congratulate you on your Tim Hortons mug. Was that acquired in Calgary when you were here for the Pro Shootout tournament?
  10. @TimF - no, the Lyric is a softer flex Senate. Use the settings for the 65" Senate. https://radarskis.com/finsettings
  11. Great post from Travel Alberta. That's definitely a Radar Strada and DD boat in the shot. Not sure as to the skier or location. Anyone else from Alberta recognize? Fun ad!
  12. Tell you what... videos with technical specs, details about the skis, and the innovations are super cool, highly informative, and really important. But, when you live in Edmonton, AB, and it was -29C this morning, watching a 1:14 video of people dropping non-stop bombs in February is also pretty great :) I liked this one.
  13. I am not skiing as much as was once the case (or as much as I would like). So, it is time to switch to a Senate. I am planning on going with the Graphite model (65). Although the 2020 Senates will be released in the next month, the season in Canada is short. And there are no 2019 Senate Graphites left to be had. But... my local shop has a 2019 Lyric Graphite (65) in stock. I understand that this is exactly the same construction, maybe just with a softer flex. I am a small guy... 135lbs... and am wondering if the Lyric Graphite might even be a preferable option? I seem to recall another small guy on the forum going this route, but can't find the thread. In terms of skiing, these days I am sort of -15, 30mph. Maybe 32mph on a good day. Any thoughts? Edit... I connected with @brooks . Lyric Graphite it is.
