  11. It’s just an open forum for water skiing. If you delete accounts that’s fine I just don’t see a need to publicly announce it. Just my two sense. ✌?
  12. I’m not sure why he got booted again. I speak with Scott periodically and he is a ski fanatic (which is good for the sport). But if a pro skier has time to talk to him, I would think all of you average joe skiers could handle him too.
  13. I will coming down after the Mastercraft event at Fluid.

  15. @lpskier exactly my point. It’s a great tool to have for the skiers sake
  16. hey guys, @horton wanted me to start a thread talking about the video review from the nationals during some events. I have seen where some people dont like the review and i just wanted to clarify some things about it. First off, I want to start off by saying ALL the officials did and outstanding job running the tournament and keeping things running fair and smoothly. With that being said, there were some human errors (which is completely understandable) that arose. The judges were able to use the webcast videos to review the scores and make the changes necessary if needed. Some of these reviews were indeed brought to peoples intentions from other skiers that might be watching the event online, but a skier still had to put up the $100 needed for the judges to challenge. From what i was told that has to come from the skier or a representative of the skier. That can be left up to several interpretations, but the way it was explained to me that if anyone come to advocate for a particular skier would be considered a "representative of the skier." I know that I challenged two scores on the weekend that were both overturned and the correct score was given. ( on in B2 slalom event and one during the OM slalom event) Both instances i was speaking out for a skier that deserved to receive the medal they skied for, and the extra video helped make that possible. I know as an Open skier, when our events are webcasted, the judges will use the extra video if they feel that a call was missed. To me that is the same to all pro sports because they have video review so why shouldnt we? I was in the judges tower most of the week announcing and I had the opportunity to see what the judges were looking at as well as what they were talking about. There were several instances where the judges might not be able to get a full view of the buoy and the extra video ended up helping out. I thought this years nationals was fantastic and thanks to everyone who put on the event as well as the judges who volunteered their time to make the event happen. I just wanted to clear up some things that some might not have fully understood.
  17. @Horton I’m just doing what I can do to make things right for everyone :)
  18. @MarkTimm i was the pro skier that made the protest, and yes I was a skiers representative. I have coached Zach Barkwell all summer who would’ve gotten 5th but ended 4th due to the correction, but I was up there protesting for the boy who got 5th(BG Binkley) Because he deserved the medal. The boy you had his 2 ball pulled told the judges at the end of first pass that he missed two ball. With that being said I also paid the challenge of Brandon Schipner because he tied me with 2@39 but was scored 1.5 @39. This caused me to have to ski a run off for 2nd rather than just taking the medal, but I wouldn’t have felt right not skiing the run off to claim my spot at 2nd. I was just trying to advocate for the sport and the extra video helped make the call right
  19. I did this job several summers ago and it is a great gig! Awesome site to ski and great people around the lake. Would definitely recommend!
  20. As a short line skier at 36 I am trying to get my feet in front of me and extended as I pull the the Center line. When I started working on that position and trying to minimize knee bend I consistently started running 39. This is also what my sister Allie Nicholson is doing at 34 and this has helped her consistently run 38 off. When you bend your knees you drop to the back of the ski and slow down. So naturally when you pull and roll the ski to the inside edge you bend your knees as you slow down.
  21. I know for me and when coach the people I ski with I’m not thinking about the knee bend into the edge change but rather an extension of my legs as I approach the wakes and center line. The unload of this pull causes the edge change. The knee bend happens as the ski moves thru the edge change and is just natural reaction/occurrence to make that move.
