  1. I believe that Australia and New Zealand sell more txi’s than the US. Still going strong here in Aus.
  2. @Ali No I really struggled with it, was inconsistent and didn’t feel comfortable on it. Tried every setting under the sun…. It’s now a shed ornament
  3. @Ali try the latest ION. I went from a quest 45 to an arc-s to now the ion and find it feels like the quest did. That being said if I find a 2nd hand quest 45 I’ll be buying it.
  4. I had a stejcraft pro skier a while back. It Had a very forgiving flat wake. The wake at longer line lengths was actually better then the Malibu response I now have. I added perfect pass and used to love skiing behind it. You can pick them up for 25-35k.
  5. What a joke this thread is. Shut it down!
  6. It’s been said before but this what we deal with in Australia. You can pay 30k plus for early model Lx response. Even the imported stuff like a mid 90s prostar is 30k. A 70s or 80s Australian built clinker is 10k?
  7. It will also come in closed bow @Chef23
  8. I own an lxr and can’t fault anything about it. I’ve also skied behind a couple lx’s and can’t tell the difference between the two.
  9. Seen that new “lxr” the other day when they were doing the photo shoot! Looks really good in person and from what I seen the interior has had some nice upgrades too! The lxr is a pretty big seller here in aus. Remember a txi here is 80k plus and lxr’s start at 67 so it’s good entry point for people to get into a Malibu.
  10. Off topic but does anyone have any idea if mastercraft and in the process of building/designing a new prostar?
  11. If you want to keep it Australian then look at stejcraft. It had a great slalom wake especially at slow speeds and was good to wakeboard behind. It wasn’t as well built as the response and had wood stringers but for the money it was fine. Stejcraft still make them but you can pick up a decent 2nd hand one for 25-30k. Just make sure you get the pro skier model so you get a mercruiser 350 with f-n-r.
  12. Nearly all Australian built ski boats still use wood except for Malibu of course. Stick with something American like the ones you listed.
  13. I went in one on the weekend. The owner complained of slow hole shot but took off really well after maybe 3 seconds of pulling the skier out. He complained the steering felt flighty but that could be fine tuned. Apart from that all good! Personally I thought the Boat felt cheap... it cost him 120k here in aus... I’d expect a lot more for that kind of money.
  14. So cheap! That boat would be 20-30k here in Australia
