  1. Been waiting for this explanation for a very long time
  2. A decent front binding is one thing, but a toe plate likely isn't what makes him feel uncomfortable in deep water start
  3. Upon first viewing - someone drug test this man! After reinvestigation - someone drug test this man!
  4. You're not far off from running that pass. Focus on two things: balance and connection. Notice that in your wake crossing your hips are still a little behind you thus leading to poor connection and loss of power. I like that you don't panic and try to rip hard turns at your hardest pass, it shows control
  5. @adamcord "If we were worried about marketing gimmicks we’d come up with something cooler sounding than this." Flextail? ?
  6. @adamhcaldwell After seeing the example with nate I think I'm starting to understand what you're getting at. Are you suggesting that we need to achieve the required change in yaw through the transition without rolling too hard onto the inside edge and thus stopping the outbound trajectory of the ski? And by creating more roll stability and a little more freedom in yaw, it becomes easier to achieve this?
  7. @adamhcaldwell where in the course does the quicker change in yaw take place? You're drawing the change occuring at a very wide point. Does the change happen closer to the second wake?
  8. Could you go into more detail as to why you would want the ski to quickly reduce angle through the transition? In my mind this would put me on a narrower, later path as opposed to one that allows me to turn earlier. Very curious
  9. PB 1.5@38 36mph Exiting the ball and into the first wake I focus to advance my COM towards my desired direction of travel, and relax my arms. At centerline I am engaging my core to advance the ski away from the boat, and keeping my shoulders level in an effort to keep my upper body resisting the boat. That's just the thought process that works for me
  10. Does anyone know his scores? Can't find them anywhere
  11. Used to be a very serious trumpet player, now i'm a not so serious trumpet player. I sat principal in my youth symphony back in high school and toured Europe. Other than that, I'm trying to scrounge up the cash to get more into motorsports. Really want a spec 944
  12. I hold with my fingers until s*** starts getting hairy, then my palms start to bleed
  13. It's interesting to see that there are more people than I previously thought that are in a similar situation to me. I've struggled with my onside my entire career, mostly due to a pi$$ poor transition into 2/4/6 (RFF). While it's not easy to slam an offside turn and make up space, I can pretty easily ride the line out to the buoy and finesse the ski back in on a tight, early line even if I'm in trouble. My bad transition into 2/4/6 is definitely what's holding me back from running more buoys. I get great one balls at -35, and even have gotten a decent one the few times I've made it to -38 in practice. The problem is I still can't control the line leaving the wakes into the other side.
