  1. If I understand correct, you are saying the leak is at the prop shaft side of flange it would have to be from the splines inside of the flange.See this in auto world & seal with thread sealant.
  2. snow advisory above 9000ft, water surface temp 60. Be thankful for what you can get.
  3. Come to Colorado. Had a hard time finding a third last summer. Hike, bike, moto, atv trails next to lake or access from town. Unlimited hiking in area, Rocky Mtn. Nat. park 1hr. drive, less busy places nearby. All welcome to come & ski, old boat, no coarse, but some great water in am.
  4. @One_Ski You could consider Soda Lakes near red rocks 1.5 hr from Vail, pay per set.
  5. @Edbrazil , just checked snotel site where I snowmobile, showed 0". I have skied @ A-basin in Aug. about 20 yrs. ago. There is still some snow on the peaks. There is a ski race on a snowfield near Winter Park every 4th of July. Been hot & dry spring this year so less snow left than usual.
  6. The club in Dotsero is very expensive, not sure if you can get in as guest. The coarse in Green Mtn. Res. was not in yet as of last weekend, usually in early July. May be able to set you up with someone to pull you . I have a old boat, no speed control, I would guess that would not help you much. I ski near Kremmling most weekend mornings. No coarse. about 60 mi from Vail, or about 20 mi if you hike over the Gore Range.
  7. Looks like some cables need replaced. If corroded under cable insulation replace cable. Most parts stores can make cables. Cover any exposed cable ends, batt. terminals with dielectric grease or vasoline (cheaper ).
  8. @LeonL a fully charged battery is 12.6v. 2.2v per cell. I would agree the battery tender will not charge enough with that much use per day. Deep cycle batt. with larger charger or 120v a/c.
  9. I have made a shoehorn out of an antifreeze jug so I don't use soap anymore. Spray silicone on it a few times a year keeps it slick.
  10. sorry to be slow to reply. Crew member not able to ski since aug. goes in for major surgery Fri. will find out then chance of survival. Made it out labor day weekend with spotter help from different friends on lake. One other day in sept. as other crew member did not want to leave wife alone as she has gotten incapacitated, and weather always seemed to be a crap-shoot on weekends. Worst fall I can remember. @303Skier Wolford, no course. Tell everyone that asked it is to windy. Usually camp @ green mtn. mid summer & ski course there.
  11. +1 magnetic block heater 10 yrs with temps as low as 15f. will put a blanket on top of engine when real cold ( I'm at 7300ft ) Big concern would be if you have a heater, it will freeze first. I would not be to concerned if temps above 25f unless it is sustained ( more than just overnight low.) Have a friend who said if the dogs water bowl skimmed over your o.k. if it is solid your done. Mechanics light bulb is called rough service bulb.
  12. I'm not much farther than Granby, in Kremmling. Will be back before labor day weekend.
  13. Looks like you have some options. 1 of my crew is in cancer battle & not able to ski lately. Up in mtns. maybe 2+ hrs from FoCo. No course. We ski till mid Oct. If interested pm. Going out of town this weekend, back end of month if slow reply.
  14. Keithh2oskier, you should be able to get an axle from a trailer shop, dealer.
  15. Lake was half glass Sat. A.M. but air temp was 35f after getting 20" of snow Thurs. Went snowmobiling instead, found snowpack 7' deep around 10,000'. Looks like chance of snow this Thurs. high temp low 50's Sat. might make it to 60 by Mon. Hope for no wind.
