    Very nice boat!
  2. You are clearly dipping your shoulder on your 2 4 side, and this is causing the ski to stall a bit coming out of the ball, the rope then comes tight quickly and yanks you off edge. Ideally you want to allow the ski to complete the turn, and start skiing toward the wake before the rope comes tight. One easy trick that can help prevent this is to reach with your palm up on your off side (2 4).
  3. I agree with the comments above. In general boat engines have to work harder to push a boat through the water than a car engine does to push a rolling car down the road. But todays engines have so much power that I am no longer convinced that this makes a huge difference. Also the marine environment can be rather harsh on the electronic components of an engine. A lot also depends on the type of use. When I was younger, and played a lot on the river, I usually ran my boats a lot at full throttle (WFO), whereas today I am more focused on 34 MPH slalom. I think skiers typically take pretty good care of their boats. As others have said, I have seen ski boats with thousands of hours on them and still running strong, but I have also seen boats with a few hundred hours on them that are trashed. I have always said buying a boat can be a crap shoot. If I were to equate hours to miles, I would be more inclined to use 60 for a marine engine. Dave
  4. I think the bag weights are they best way to go. Can you get them from the Centurian dealer?
  5. "What if they did a 3d image of your foot and printed the perfect fitting hardshell binding?" Now that is an excellent idea!
  6. Water skiing at the competitive level has become very expensive. New boat prices are just stupid, a high end ski is just as bad. On the other hand, good used ski boats can be had for cheap, and if well cared for will last a very long time. Some of my best memories of skiing were on the river, dodging the rollers and cursing at the jet skiers. I have met more people and made more friends skiing on public water, than I have skiing on a private lake. Having said all that, if you are chasing rankings, as most of us are, it can be expensive, if you are just out to have some fun, you really can do it on the cheap.
  7. I would suggest putting the number of hours in your add. It is the first question everyone wants to know, well perhaps second, price being first. High hours does not scare me at all, I think that folks who know boats very well, as most people here do, would not hesitate to buy a boat with 1,000 plus hours. EFI has made a huge difference in longevity of engines, especially ring wear. No more raw fuel washing the oil from the rings.
