  1. Hi there, we are booked there from 3-5 July, so early i presume would be MUCH better due to 4th of July celebrations
  2. As mentioned on here previously, we are heading out to California for our hols this year and we have a couple of days at South Lake Tahoe. I have found a number of places who hire out boats like; http://tahoesports.com/power-boat-rentals/ but by the look of it all their boats have outboard. Any direction to places I can hire a mid engine ski/wake boat for a few hours? Found this one only at a resonable price - https://boatbound.co/boats/bdphj?pos=4&
  3. Thanks @chris55 , we have been skiing in Orlando the past 4 years and are looking at California (SF, LA, Sacremento) this next year.
  4. My wife and I are looking for a 5 day ski school, accommodation not essential as we could find locally. @Horton now there's a deal and we love kids. Where about are you? Think you would find it harder putting up with us haha
  5. We have been travelling to Orlando for the past 4 years from the UK for coaching, but fancied a change for 2017. I have looked at Sunset but they have changed their offering and don't do a 5/6 day package anymore. Any one got any suggestions for a weeks coaching? Thanks in advance.
  6. good questions @Than_Bogan we did a full weeks skiing in the US then came back with probably sore tendons in the forearms, so could be recoving from that. Im on boa gloves, not to old and a new 1inch masterline handle which is perfect for my normal grip. I do type alot with wrists on the desk, so another great point!
  7. Ive had a real issue in the last couple of weeks that following my first set, I just dont have any strength or grip left in my hands/fingers to get out of the water for my first pass of the second set. To the point yesterday, I had 3 attempts couldn't get out of the water, so left it there. Really annoying and a waste of a set! any one else had the same problem and know how to get round it?
  8. @JayG80 great insight! Im about to trade in my Senate C and was looking at the Lithium Senate to try once I get out to the US. As a matter of interest what bindings were you using on the Senate C and then now on the new Senate?
  9. from what fu_man says, the Lithium model clearly is different due to a lighter core. This also shows in the pricing, especially of the new 2016 Senate. Im an intemediate skier and sometimes just get a bit bind blown at all the options available.
  10. hahah exactly the same conversation I have been have with my coaches! Didn't think of a rear boot with wedge in! great idea
  11. So call me thick, but looking for a steer here. Looking at new skis and there is the obvious material build differences.......Graphite v Lithium v Carbon. However, is there a clear ride difference when weighing up what material a new ski shuld be made of? Ive only skied on my Senate C (carbon) so unsure what the others would offer.
  12. i use palm protectors but once I get out to the US to ski in the warm water and blisters start....i get a couple of layers of 'new skin' on....brilliant stuff
  13. @Karlbach I ski on a SenateC and preferred it to the original, it just ran smoother for me. I bought mine a couple of years ago.....I tried the P-6, Theory, Freeride and the Senate alloy and graphite. For me the Senate C was a great intermediate ski and will last a while. If you can afford the extra 100-200$ to get the C, I think you would prefer it.
  14. I currently ski without the wings, so would the fun move make much difference? Never moved a fin before so will get some help if it may work
  15. Interesting theory Todd and get the gist! No harm in trying to push the bindings back
  16. I'm about 175 pounds. The aim is to start ramping up the speed now I'm round at 40
  17. Im a 6foot5 chap currently skiing on a 67 Senate C, and compared to most on here an intimidate skier, getting round the course at 40kmh. What I am finding is i struggle to get on the front foot and break the water under or infront of my front foot; infact it breaks behind it, almost below my rtp (i.e. over half the ski is out of the water). My binding is right the way forward so can't push any further. I do think this is having an affect on me getting slickly round the buoy......... any thoughts?
  18. All about hips forward and handle to hip for me. These basics will hopefully give me that extra to get round the course.
  19. One of the key things I am currently struggling with is keeping my hips forward. Im just about getting round the whole course now, but feel this is holding me back slightly. any tips or tricks to stop sitting down, and pushing the hips forward?
  20. http://www.e-z-cam.com - ive just bought this, should arrive for the weekend....dont quite understand why this wouldn't work because of a lean. With the right mount on top of the pole, you could focus it nicely.
  21. Anyone know if there are big differences. Between the wakeye and ski-doc ? http://www.perfski.com/Waterskis/Waterski-Accessories/Ski-Doc-Camera-Mount.html
  22. Me and the mrs are in Orlando from the 24th of May from the UK and need a few tows w/c 26th May before a week with Mr and Mrs FlAsher. Anyone free? Time of day doesn't matter as will be doing tourist things all week.
  23. My girlfriend bought the floral Radar Lyric. Nice ski and capable of taking to the course at a fair lick! I would say it's a intermed/advanced ski
