  1. I will keep my arms low on my hips and centered, as well I'll be looking in front of the boat to finish my direction change so I can finish both side direction changes.
  2. I've been a double full boot skier for a long time. I have an R-Style and I would like to know how to adjust? does it just take months? or any advice is greatly appreciated, I think the r-Styple is better for my back foot to keep me balanced better. Double Reflex rocks, but you have to keep them a bit apart.
  3. I have about 1/2" gap between my back boot toe and front boot. I have my front at 29 3/8 which is where my PS were. Do you know if you can have the rear buckle on the steel for the front, as its lower in the back but I want to go closer together, just seems the front foot connector is gonna be on the steel? In case anyone has had this concern?
  4. I've been on lots of bindings, and the reason I went to the reflex it the release system. I have a ski-tech yes I'm old on my trick ski I put on my ski with a rear toe piece but it didn't work for me. I'm good with the release on the ski-tech, and Reflex seems to be an updated version. I have ruptured an achecllis in rubber boots years ago, and so I've been in every hardshell except the OB4, I've only seen one skier that system. I may just get another set of powershells, but I was thinking the harder shell is a good thing?
  5. I've been on powershells for 10 years, and I just bought a pair of reflex just to mix it up. I like the powershells but I figured I'd try something similar but a bit different. I can't get my feet as close together on the Relex as I'm using a double setup. Its close but so far (it is winter) I'm not too favorable to the Reflex, I know its only been 2 sets since its so cold in the Northwest but I'm liking the release. I've used fogman, Fluid Motions, and only had tape release too early a few times and the 3m should be replaced every 6 months in my opinion. Any advice is greatly appreciated on switching from PS to Reflex.
  6. I had the pleasure of having lunch with Andy at the Diablo Pro Am a few years back, and then again in 2014 I had the pleasure of having lunch with Andy at the California Pro Am. Andy, said we had lunch at Greg's lake a few years ago, and I was blown away, Andy was a loving caring person and a great guy to talk with. I only meet Andy a couple of times, and I'm just another average skier, but I will miss him. My prayers out to your family Andy, I know your in a good place.
  7. I tore my Achilles Tendon in 1996 and it took 1 year before I really started skiing and about the 1/2 of the next season before I forgot it happened! Maybe the blood thinner will allow your tendon shrink faster! My Achilles took 2 years to get down to its normal size, it was 2x bigger for at least 2 seasons. But I never ever feel like it was an issue, full recovery
  8. ITs Core time! Get that Core in shape to ski your best.
  9. Nice Video! We were in the fog all day long, should have come up to Mint! Awesome skiing good to see so many NW folks out on New Year's Day! Happy 2014
  10. I've been tournament skiing for so many years, and really appreciate skiers who give back to our sport. I've been coached by great coaches over the last 15 years, but I am stuck and I've been looking for tools to build my experience, so I can progress. I've been working sharing my understanding with other skiers in our club and local younger skiers, but I would appreciate a regulated approach to improving. I can run my first 3 passes pretty consistently, then I seem to hit a wall. I could use some expert advice and I'm an avid cyclist and I've been riding for years and gaining my ride technique via my local bike club, impromptu pelotons, and weekend pickup rides. While I enjoy cycling, I'm not competitive, but I've not found methods used for waterskiing that are comparable to other sports, and I'd be willing to share what I've learned with our sport.
  11. I need to run 38 in a tournament! I know its not far off, but I've got to find a way to get er' done this year!!
