  1. i would agree that it's better than the new Ski Nautique 🙂
  2. I apologize you are not getting much of a response - i don't think it's a common engine. But I do think it shares a lot in common with the Monsoon 340 used in Malibu or may be the same thing. I have emailed Indmar in the past for question like this and Larry or someone there will get back to you. https://www.indmar.com/support/customer-support/ You could also look up what the map sensor looks like for your engine and try to find that part - i think it should be close to the throttle body. also - you could check with skidim.com for some advice.
  3. I guess I'm sad that there might not be a Malibu ski boat - we just love our older LXI. I feel like the look of the TXI was fine from 2012-2016 but when they changed the look in 2017 that did it for some folks - i know one of my good ski buddies ordered a prostar instead of the TXI b/c of this. To add to this Malibu had to started messing around with engine suppliers and building there own engines.
  4. Message me on Friday. I’m out of town. I can check to see if I can find a partially working gauge you can test with. I have a box of old gauges
  5. 3rd ski of the year yesterday. Water is still about 50. Glad to be on the water again after an injury last year.
  6. same shape, just different materials - i would get whatever fits your budget if they are just a once in a while skier. If they are more serious I would probably go Carbon. just my thoughts
  7. my puck is a newer one and no issues. My friends boat who runs the same software but never updated the puck ...once in a while it will surge before locking on a pass.
  8. Vector XL BOA will fit - boa helps a lot with getting it on
  9. my son has a blue 2015 and loves it too. Well, i would pick the Omni for your mum
  10. I upgraded 2 boats to 9.3 in 2022, both have Z Box and both work great. Sunsetter LXI and Response LXI. My friend with a 90's Prostar 190 did the same install with Z Box. You might not have a good return spring situation or maybe it's just a need of the new software. If you get it just for the quick lock in and much easier to change set speed - those 2 things alone are worth it
  11. along those lines a Radar Terrain might be the ticket for 26-28 mph learning. They are cheap enough
  12. Matt, welcome to the site. I'm pretty sure Horton has hit the ramp back in the day. ☺️ I think we all have nothing but admiration for your sisters accomplishments! Horton in saying GOAT - that is an Americanized acronym for "Greatest Of All Time!" If anything he was saying she was in a league of her own and one of the top women in water sports. Cheers
  13. 91-94 has no wake at 28 off and shorter from watching my friend ski but lots of spray. It really good at 15 off too. I think I would have a Natuique 97+ b/c of a hair more room and not as much spray. Feel the nautique has a slight advantage at longer lengths and slower speeds and tracks better.
  14. i wish they made a 69" Krypton Fusion - i would buy that!
  15. Skied March 3rd in Ohio - that was a 1st.

    Help an Addict

I know of a 1997 with ZO if you are interested. Pretty pricey though
  17. hmmm a 65 senate vs a 66 Vapor would probably be about the same in stability. You must have an older vapor?
  18. We have a lot of slalom skiers in Ohio. There is at least 5 slalom lakes within an hour of me surprisingly and at least that many public lakes close by. We have 14 boats in our club. I did a quick mental count and 6 are 5-20K boats, 5 are 20-40k boats, and 3 are 50-100k boats. The last 3 are Prostars. They ski a little better than my boat but I can't see replacing my boat with a MC that costs 5 times what I paid for my Malibu. If a new Prostar was 60k i could probably justify it but when things started approaching 100k it becomes out of my reach. I don't believe in payment unless absolutely necessary but I know I'm in the minority. I also think that a new boater is not going to buy a ski boat when the surf barges are all they see at the boat shows. I guess to answer your question, slalom is not dying but the prices are not helping the average person.
  19. along these lines, did anyone else get the email about a new boat brand being released with Indmar engines? Probably a surf boat but I don't know.
  20. Malibu should re-release the Sunsetter LXI with ZO. I know, I'm biased.
  21. I sure hope this is not true - i love the Malibu brand.
  22. Interesting - My regular ski buddy still is skiing his 67.5 Sixam 1.0 - it still rips. I keep thinking he should upgrade but he doesn't like change

    Old faithfull

I ski a 93 PS 190 regularly - skis awesome! The guy had a 92 with 3000+ hours before he got this one
  24. I broke my ankle last summer and don't want to repeat that - i ordered a MOB system. I do grip training and general stuff like pushups, curls and cycling over the winter. That's about the best I can do with my busy work schedule
