  1. my son has a blue 2015 and loves it too. Well, i would pick the Omni for your mum
  2. I upgraded 2 boats to 9.3 in 2022, both have Z Box and both work great. Sunsetter LXI and Response LXI. My friend with a 90's Prostar 190 did the same install with Z Box. You might not have a good return spring situation or maybe it's just a need of the new software. If you get it just for the quick lock in and much easier to change set speed - those 2 things alone are worth it
  3. along those lines a Radar Terrain might be the ticket for 26-28 mph learning. They are cheap enough
  4. Matt, welcome to the site. I'm pretty sure Horton has hit the ramp back in the day. ☺️ I think we all have nothing but admiration for your sisters accomplishments! Horton in saying GOAT - that is an Americanized acronym for "Greatest Of All Time!" If anything he was saying she was in a league of her own and one of the top women in water sports. Cheers
  5. 91-94 has no wake at 28 off and shorter from watching my friend ski but lots of spray. It really good at 15 off too. I think I would have a Natuique 97+ b/c of a hair more room and not as much spray. Feel the nautique has a slight advantage at longer lengths and slower speeds and tracks better.
  6. i wish they made a 69" Krypton Fusion - i would buy that!
  7. Skied March 3rd in Ohio - that was a 1st.

I know of a 1997 with ZO if you are interested. Pretty pricey though
  9. hmmm a 65 senate vs a 66 Vapor would probably be about the same in stability. You must have an older vapor?
  10. We have a lot of slalom skiers in Ohio. There is at least 5 slalom lakes within an hour of me surprisingly and at least that many public lakes close by. We have 14 boats in our club. I did a quick mental count and 6 are 5-20K boats, 5 are 20-40k boats, and 3 are 50-100k boats. The last 3 are Prostars. They ski a little better than my boat but I can't see replacing my boat with a MC that costs 5 times what I paid for my Malibu. If a new Prostar was 60k i could probably justify it but when things started approaching 100k it becomes out of my reach. I don't believe in payment unless absolutely necessary but I know I'm in the minority. I also think that a new boater is not going to buy a ski boat when the surf barges are all they see at the boat shows. I guess to answer your question, slalom is not dying but the prices are not helping the average person.
  11. along these lines, did anyone else get the email about a new boat brand being released with Indmar engines? Probably a surf boat but I don't know.
  12. Malibu should re-release the Sunsetter LXI with ZO. I know, I'm biased.
  13. I sure hope this is not true - i love the Malibu brand.
  14. Interesting - My regular ski buddy still is skiing his 67.5 Sixam 1.0 - it still rips. I keep thinking he should upgrade but he doesn't like change
