  1. Connelly just produced a great video of their GT being produced (in USA), similar to the vids Radar has put out over the years. Would be kind of dirty pool on their part to shift production of that ski overseas right after producing that vid... My dad was a bean counter though so I know anything can happen!
  2. @TallSkinnyGuy I've had similar deep water install with the ez slalom.. if you haven't done it' already you need 4:1 anchor line to depth so nearly 400' for your application. The kit comes with 100'... Add more weight to the anchor end you will be pulling from, even if it's an extra 10lb Navy tri-flute anchor You are also best to separate the boat guide sections from the trunk buoy. Add the turn buoys after the boat guides are set up.
  3. the difference you will feel will be only in relation to the different mounting locations the 2 provide. you will not get the single plates in the same location as the sequence and the front single does not offer as much adjustment as the sequence. Mind you the rear single offers greater adjust-ability to the rear boot on a sequence IMO. If you want to use the doubles, buy the Mikro-Just and drill out the slots on the front plate. I have both sets and prefer the sequence, going on 9 years with the same one.
  4. YouTube and more YouTube. I don't think there are as many new uploads as there once was when it was starting, but there is a ton of content out there. Some very professional.
  5. If you can swing it, Join a club, you will learn more and faster. Any club I've been to there are always the full gamut of ability levels. I started at a club about 10 years ago on a public lake and couldn't barely run a pass through the course and now ski into shortline at tournaments.
  6. I've always wanted to know HOW you adjust and measure handles/ropes. Perhaps this is a good opportunity for a tutorial?
  7. just order from one of the many retailers who have the items in stock. perfski always has ropes and handles
  8. @"bf`" where were you skiing in Niagara? @nleuth good guess! CN tower is about 4x taller though.
  9. Looking to put PP into a 2001 SN 196 GT40, non-DBW w/a 3.5" display. Let me know what you have!
  10. Tri-flute anchors are what Ed sells with his portable courses. I believe they were 30lbs. You can get them in various sizes and. The more weight you can handle the better.
  11. I believe the echelon was finished for the 97 MY. Also believe they got rid of the computron on the later models. Appears from photos this one has computron. Just FYI. If it's in really clean shape 14-17k CAd for 96-97 at most IMO.
  12. I never learned how to drop a ski. If I recall I tried and tried and failed but in hindsight didn't have any real instructions. Ended up getting up on 1 and quickly found by at least resting my back foot near the RTP I could control the start easier and resist the boats pull better. So I've always started with 2 feet in and have been dbl boots for 20 years since I was a kid.
  13. Really great event all around. Simply Amazing performances from the athletes.
  14. @theboardingschool couldn't agree more. Trick skiing is a great sport but most kids would rather wakeboard because it's just flat out cooler to watch and the whole scene behind it as well. I think the master's is the best event around in large part because it's encompasses ALL of our sport, not just skiing. You're a boarder but looks like you enjoy (and kill) ripping it on the slalom too! Been following rusty Malinowski insta- he's been charging it on a slalom recently as well. The more the merrier!
  15. Dano "the kid with the golden mic" is a trick skier. keep whining about trick skiing announcing and soon enough there will be none to watch! bzzzz
  16. @Nautibynature in the last few years it has seemed to happen at big events more frequently. Should never happen at those events especially.
  17. @escmanaze I don't agree with that, there really is no hard and fast rule. No reason some 15offers shouldn't be on a high end vapor. I've only ever ridden tournament skis since I was 13, some pu core (or whatever else they made skis with back in the day) and now only PVC core or greater. Never held me back due to how I ski and my body type.
  18. as everyone has said - do not remove the fins! sell it and buy an outboard if that is your only option. you will eventually damage the prop/shaft/rudder assy if the boat cannot be supported or launched correctly. that trailer looks awfully small for the boat and an incredibly unusual design. what is the load rating?
  19. If Vince is involved in the filming it should be an excellent webcast.
  20. @MuskokaKy Jason is around all summer. http://www.mcclintocks.com
  21. @OldboyII bondo is a 3M product used as a body filler for autos. I'm sure there is something similar where you are, just go to your local auto body shop or retailer.
