  1. 2 years ago I deleted my shoulder, broke it in 2 places, torn the rotator cuff, severed the bicep tendon and shredded the labrum. Surgery and 9 months of PT before I was back skiing. I'm not quite back to where I was but I'm 65 and things heal slowly. I do use a power test, but I take the dowels out so that I can release quickly. Unfortunately I just slipped in my wood shop and tore my knee and tibia so I'm out commission for a while. PT is the most important thing!!!!
  2. Wait until you see the Ortho. There can be real damage that the ER did not see. I dislocated and broke the shoulder. Later discovered the rotator cuff was torn as well as a torn labrum and severed bicep tendon. ER only deals with the urgent things
  3. My suggestion is to print out that section of their rules and bring it with you. It shuts down arguments at check in. I have done that in the past and it works.
  4. On June 1 I put my arm through the handle. Broken and dislocated shoulder. Surgery on June 11. Completely torn rotary cuff, broken shoulder, turn bicep tendon and another rotator tendon shredded. I've been doing PT since and was just told to start back to the gym. Dr originally said no skiing until 12 months. I just negotiated with him to start free skiing with 2 skis starting in Jan, and move slowly to free slalom after a couple of months and then course skiing by May. I am religious about the PT and he knows it. It's a very long and frustrating process. I am 64 so healing is slower.
  5. I can only say I love my Powervest
  6. Anybody have ideas on how to make the slide action smoother? I heard people discuss it but I can`t seem to find the post
  7. I have heard other Power vest users mold the back plate to better fit the curve of their back. Details on temp and time and technique would be appreciated.
  8. Let me know if you need a place to stay in Orlando. I have a rental close to 5 different ski schools.
  9. Just about every tool known to man but thus year I dropped 2 7/16 " wrenches about 10 min apart. Right at my feet and the super magnet couldn't find them a week later
  10. Buy a spare or 2 new tires! I bought a 3 year old boat and trailer back in 2012. 30 minutes into a 6 hour drive I blew a trailer tire. Not fun. No garages open in Ohio on a Sunday. Good thing for a well stocked WalMart
  11. You can buy endoscope that connects to your phone at Amazon for about $20. You can look behind things really well with them
  12. Sailworks, I am a long time PV user. Details on your mods would be helpful! Photos maybe?
  13. We can't ski here in Rochester because of flooding. Probably another month before they release the now rule. Our pond is connected to Lake Ontario with record flooding
  14. Try a Goode Powervest. Expensive but worth it
