Baller Dano Posted August 22 Baller Share Posted August 22 I got curious about running short deep on D3 NRG R2. I've been using factory rec for over a year 6.93, 2.455, .745. It's pretty good, but I've never really liked the line this setup seems to draw (narrower in straighter to buoy) and i was hoping to find a little better onside. It tried short deep mostly just out of curiosity. 6.87, 2.48, .73. I really liked the line this set up draws headed out to buoy. I don't have video but when skiing it feels good into and thru the wakes and sets me up on a good line with time and space, but but it feels like the ski is out in front of me more than is ideal and riding deep. It feels a little more on a rail than the long shallow but with rather abrupt turns on both sides. I'm not much of a fin tuner so I'm wondering what move would you try to maintain the time and space but bring back the predictable turns. I'm skiing -32@

Baller S1Pitts Posted August 22 Baller Share Posted August 22 Hey @Dano This was best on my R2 for short deep 2.520, 6.785, 0.815, 7deg I had to run the boots 1/4 inch ahead from LS position. Fast turns
Baller Deanoski Posted August 22 Baller Share Posted August 22 I would move the Fin forward 05 at a time to find your sweet spot

Baller MillerTime38 Posted August 23 Baller Share Posted August 23 @Dano I was stock at 29 1/2. i run a RTP and I moved it back a little further 1/8” and it made the ski feel way better.
