Baller Obrienslalom Posted November 24, 2022 Baller Share Posted November 24, 2022 Anybody have a nice pump/hose setup for their dock they would recommend. I have electricity at the dock and would like to spray down the boat and cover occasionally. Looking to pull the water from the lake.
Baller MISkier Posted November 24, 2022 Baller Share Posted November 24, 2022 I’d probably use a Superior Pump model 91250. I see them on Amazon for about $55. They have a garden hose adapter included. I have one of these to pump antifreeze from a 5 gallon bucket during winterizing and other utility needs. I also have another one as a secondary contingency sump pump with a car battery/inverter setup, an external float switch, and automatic transfer switch to use the inverter source when house power is out. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller BraceMaker Posted November 25, 2022 Baller Share Posted November 25, 2022 Lake water better be really clean or youd be better off carrying the tarp up to the house and using boat bling and cloths than spraying it.
Baller thager Posted November 25, 2022 Baller Share Posted November 25, 2022 Hose or hoses from the house down to the dock would work. Water runs downhill very easily. If you need more pressure use a pressure washer. Water would be clean with little chance of sending algae onto your stuff,
Baller MDB1056 Posted November 25, 2022 Baller Share Posted November 25, 2022 Simer submersible utility pump. They have several sizes. Bulletproof and work great . Hose attaches easily. I’ve had one over 30 yrs and still runs great
Baller BraceMaker Posted November 25, 2022 Baller Share Posted November 25, 2022 @thager the way people around me do this is to treat it like it's an irrigation line and run it off a hose bibb then it can be buried relatively shallow with no code implications. Baller thager Posted November 25, 2022 Baller Share Posted November 25, 2022 If you want the cost and hassle that's fine. I run two 100' hoses downhill to my gas pressure washer for a once a year job.
