But was telling most had no clue what jumping for distance, or trick skiing for points, or slaloming for a score was. Was an entirely different world. Baller Cooper_Trelawney Posted October 21, 2022 Baller Share Posted October 21, 2022 I wonder if there is any correlation in the growth of show skiing related to the decline of 3 event skiing ( there seems to be a growth in show and decline in 3 ev but I don't know for sure what the membership numbers are in those disciplines)My home lake produced numerous 3 event skiers from the 50s through the 2010s but now it is nearly 100% show skiers. Today was individual swivel and adagio.@Cooper_Trelawney The Winter Haven area used to be a training ground for three event skiers. Not any more. However the Cypress Gardens Ski Team has morphed into a wonderful local ski club with an emphasis on youth. A bunch of the old CG skiers are still actively involved. Baller wettek69 Posted October 26, 2022 Baller Share Posted October 26, 2022 I've done all sorts of crazy stuff over my years of barefooting (jumping, wake slalom etc) but I find this style of skiing really impressive.
