Does anyone have any idea what three short beeps and one long beep at the end of a run means?

I believe it's timer to let you know to get going again. There is a background setting to adjust or remove it I believe.

It could be that your wait timer is set very low - to like 1 second or so. That would beep right after you exit the course.

What @MISkier said.The timer start counting when the boat hit the exit gates.If set very low it will beeps right out of the course.

Highlight slalom and press up. I think you can menu through the settings. "WT" (Wait time) is the one you are looking to adjust.

I think this option has been removed as of later versions of 9.x

@hemlock I kept looking under menu/up menus...I will check that one. It is 9.12 I believe. I couldn't find anything in my manual on it.

hmmm, re-read your original post and maybe it's not the wait time feature since you are running 9.12.

The only time I've heard beeps similar to that is when a skier falls in the course and the boat driver stops the boat half way through the course. As if the timing didn't get a chance to finish.

@Keith_Menard I have 9.12 and couldn't find the wait timer in the settings either. I only run practice mode and don't have any beeps besides initial engagement and all buoy timing.

What is the typical wait time for tournaments?

For the Midwest Regionals and Nationals, it was 40 seconds. That is the amount of time after the boat exits the course, sets the skier down, waits, and pulls the skier up.

 

At our class C tournaments in Michigan, we frequently run 50 or 55 seconds. The State Championship here was 40 seconds.

 

I think 40 seconds is a bit short, especially at some sites.

I believe ZeroOff starts the wait time as soon as the driver takes back control of the speed.
