Baller_ Rednucleus Posted November 13, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted November 13, 2020 Good eve - this past weekend I went into our bedroom, lights were out, and my wife's alarm clock displayed "BOS"in large blue letters. I stared at it for a minute, wondering if I was being influenced by the lovely Manhattan I had just finished. Then it changed over to "806" and I realized I might have a problem. Baller dbutcher Posted November 13, 2020 Baller Share Posted November 13, 2020 I can see how 805 and BOS could look a little alike, perhaps especially after a Manhattan. You don't have a problem, but seeing your eye doctor might be appropriate.
Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted November 13, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted November 13, 2020 Uh yeah, you have a problem. Try a second or 3rd Manhattan. If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller dchristman Posted November 13, 2020 Baller Share Posted November 13, 2020 How could one possibly think too much about skìing? ... and if you were, it would be more your wife's problem, no?
Baller skialex Posted November 13, 2020 Baller Share Posted November 13, 2020 I would worry more about going to bed at 8.05, than thinking about skiing all the time...?
Baller_ MISkier Posted November 13, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted November 13, 2020 @skialex, he didn't state his intended purpose when he went into the room. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.

Baller cougfan Posted November 13, 2020 Baller Share Posted November 13, 2020 @Rednucleus never really thought about the clock as I am in bed by 7:30pm during the week so I can make it up for work at 1:00am☹️ But every time I pass by a lake I think about what it would be like to ski on it? also checking this site multiple times daily has been habit forming. I blame you for introducing me to this forum? thanks. What a great sport!
Baller Skoot1123 Posted November 13, 2020 Baller Share Posted November 13, 2020 @Rednucleus - we assume you were meaning in the PM. Could that be before a couple cups of coffee in the AM too?
Baller_ Rednucleus Posted November 13, 2020 Author Baller_ Share Posted November 13, 2020 @Skoot1123 @skialex Was 805 pm, never have manhattans before 10a; was just walking in to room to get to bathroom and didn't bother to turn on the light (save the planet). I feel better after everyone's comments. Red
Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted November 13, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted November 13, 2020 @Rednucleus “never have manhattans before 10a“ Good policy. Always best to wait to 10:15 or 10:30 before starting ? If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller cougfan Posted November 13, 2020 Baller Share Posted November 13, 2020 @Rednucleus I got to thinking about your problem more and was surprised that you had any digital clocks in the house at all being that you are such an old school guy. I thought they would all be analog types with your alarm clocks the wind up variety ? I guess I don’t know you as good as I thought I did. What next are you going to ditch the drysuit in cold water and not use the boat heater during the summer months at Bow? ? wonders never cease

Baller_ DW Posted November 16, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted November 16, 2020 You know there is an addiction when you constantly look up at the trees to see how much the wind is blowing, check sites like 'wind' and constantly look at weather sites planning when the optimum time will be for today's set, pull up gas buddy to scheme cheap gas for the boat -and- put more gas in the boat than in your car. Baller_ MISkier Posted November 16, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted November 16, 2020 Every road trip I take, I am looking alongside the highway for any and all gravel pits/small ponds that could hold a slalom course. Baller ToddA Posted November 17, 2020 Baller Share Posted November 17, 2020 @MISkier I do the same thing, and then at 34 mph count to 18 sec to see if a course could fit there! :)

Baller 6balls Posted November 17, 2020 Baller Share Posted November 17, 2020 Google earth...find the lakes n gravel pits n measure em. As for wind we had 4 courses within 10”, each with different best wind conditions and all with a boat on-site. Should we ski Ripley? One of the 2 swamp courses? Dunn’s? We skied a lot of glass even in big winds.

Baller dchristman Posted October 17, 2021 Baller Share Posted October 17, 2021 This building always got me excited while driving down the PA NE Extension on the way to Dividing Creek to ski, wondering what could this company possibly do? I need to work in that building! Yeah - I'm a tricker It was probably a dozen trips until I noticed the building next door... ONE.
