Baller skibug Posted October 7, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 7, 2020 I have a 2015 MasterCraft Prostar in need of a few letters, an "e" and a "t", in matte black. You can only buy the entire decal. I am contemplating doing so, but wanted to see if there were others out there in the same predicament as me, that may need letters. The proposition would be that I buy the decal, use the two letters I need, then sell off each of the remaining letters at a cost of 10% of the purchase price, seeing as how there are 10 letters. If anyone is interested, please PM me. If I get enough interest, I will go ahead with the purchase and divvy it up.
Baller LoopSki Posted October 7, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 7, 2020 I was told they are covered under warranty. I have a missing e and bent M. Not sure if my dealer still has my set or not as I didn’t take the boat down. My letters are red.

Baller oldjeep Posted October 7, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 7, 2020 Just remove them entirely? Makes it a lot easier to wax, and folks know it is a Mastercraft without the huge letters
Baller oldjeep Posted October 7, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 7, 2020 Alternately try contacting https://www.domednumbers.com/ They make a lot of replacement lettering for Malibu fonts. Maybe they have the mastercraft ones too https://www.domednumbers.com/online-store/Mastercraft-c22283057
Baller LoopSki Posted October 7, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 7, 2020 I hate wiping down around those letters. Many a jammed finger !
Baller skimtb Posted October 7, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 7, 2020 Yes. Flat sticker like 90’s would be lovely. Or nothing, as was stated.

Baller jhughes Posted October 8, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 8, 2020 Maybe reach out to an MC dealer as no doubt they have replaced a bunch of those and probably have an alphabet soup of those laying around somewhere.
Baller skibug Posted October 8, 2020 Author Baller Share Posted October 8, 2020 Thanks guys, I have done all you have offered up without success; and, I don't want to remove the lettering on both sides of the boat. I just want to replace the letters with factory OEM letters. I am just looking for responses to the original post, nothing more. I may bite the bullet and just buy the lettering on my own an then post on SIA or Ebay (and here) to sell the other letters.
Baller GWaterski Posted October 9, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 9, 2020 @kurt Were your letters white? Looking for an 'r'. Good to see you last weekend.

Baller BugHunter Posted October 9, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 9, 2020 How does the warranty work? I hit the dock and ripped the top of the first 't' off. The dealer replaced the whole thing for a cost of about $600. Should that have been warranty? The boat is two years old.

Baller LoopSki Posted October 9, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 9, 2020 @BugHunter well if you told them that story , no luck on warranty. Mine just fell off under normal use. The adhesive they used doesn’t hold up to heat well. I’ve had to glue a few letters back as they became loose. But the C was a total loss and my M bent but hung on. Baller BugHunter Posted October 9, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 9, 2020 @LoopSki that makes sense. I was not going to lie about it... @bigtex2011 "oh dear" what? It is just a bad design, looks good but is bad for maintenance. I'm surprised they are doing the same on the new Prostar.
Baller LoopSki Posted October 9, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 9, 2020 My boat Spends a lot of time uncovered during the day. So if it was a boat that would just get skied and put away it wouldn’t be a problem.
Baller Bdecker Posted October 12, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 12, 2020 If the “set” is for the whole boat I’d buy it, especially if you will keep the boat for a while. I had a set (all letters, just one side + transom) for my 197 and you will use them over the years...
