thepacerdude
The Boat - 2001 Mastercraft Prostar 190 with 806 hours(this will slowly go up as we are continuing to ski this summer). The Options - Mastercraft LTR 330hp engine, Perfect Pass, Heater, Shower, Four speaker stereo with remote pads, retractable cleats, interior lights, Tilt steering wheel, inline water intake valve for out of lake starting the engine. The Good - We are the second owner. The previous owners had the transom updated to the 2002 TT Hull for a much better wake. This change became standard for all Prostar hulls in 2003. If you don’t know ur Prostar history, this hull design stayed until a complete redesign in 2014. That means this boat has the same wake for every boat built between 2003 to 2013. This boat has only been in two lakes; Don Pedro and Pine Mountain Lake(Groveland, CA). Always garaged when not in use(both owners). In the past 2.5 years: new trailer tires(5), LED trailer lights, new battery, new stereo with driver and passenger remotes, new spark plugs and wires. We recently had the boat at Leland’s Marine to take care of three very small chips in the gelcoat. These chips were smaller than a dime and purely cosmetic but I wanted them taken care of. Every time we take the boat out of the water it gets cleaned. The hull gets wiped down with Babe’s boat Bright and the Vinyl gets conditioned. The not so bad - The only thing that needs attention is the fuel sending unit. It shows full until the tank gets to a little less than 1/4 then starts moving the needle towards E. Previous owner said the clock never worked right so they disconnected it. The depth finder has a few faded LCD’s but it’s still readable. Maintenance - I change the oil every year because we never put greater than 50 hours a season. We do ATF and impeller every other year. We use Redline oil and ATF. - That’s all I can think of at the moment. Pls call me with any questions. - Currently the Boat is located in Groveland, CA in Pine Mountain Lake; However, I can get the boat to San Jose for the serious buyer. Please reply with your number and I will call you right back. Thank you for looking. Patrick 6507430709

Baller SkiBadger Posted August 14, 2020 Baller Share Posted August 14, 2020 Very Clean!! Great looking boat. I have a 2002 PS 190 with exact colors, updated hull you referenced and winged rudder. Wakes are awesome!
Baller Andre Posted August 14, 2020 Baller Share Posted August 14, 2020 What year was the upgrade with the "lip " at the back of the hull? 2003-04? My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!
Baller Fast351 Posted August 14, 2020 Baller Share Posted August 14, 2020 Man, that is a pretty boat! Looks like the same trailer as is under my Nautique. Is that a Trail Rite? If I was in the market this boat would be high on my list. Good luck with sale!

Baller_ MISkier Posted August 15, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted August 15, 2020 @Andre, I believe the hook (lip) on the hull appeared on the 2002 Tournament Team edition and was then on the 2003 regular boats. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller Andre Posted August 15, 2020 Baller Share Posted August 15, 2020 @MISkier You remember if the 2003 X-7 got it too or only the 197 ? My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!
Baller_ MISkier Posted August 15, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted August 15, 2020 @Andre, I would think it would have it. It’s supposed to be a 197 with ballast and a tower, so I assume they used the same mold, unless they did use the older mold for X-7 specifically to get more wake for the wakeboarders. You should be able to confirm it visually by looking under the boat. Some have said that, even with a matching hull to the 197, the X-7 will have different wake characteristics due to the weight and location of the tower. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
thepacerdude
Thanks for the kind words. We are selling because we just bought a 2016 Prostar. My wife had an X-7 before we met. She was sold on it by the dealer as to have the same hull as 197 and would give the same wake for skiing.......it didn't so she sold it after only having it for 2 years. lesson learned.
