The comment I would make on practice scores is that I think it could help get those newer skiers who've not done a single tournament, or never registered for USA waterski to pay the 20 bucks and get themselves on Lvl 3 or even maybe 4.

 

Getting it into a new skiers head that a ZBS few balls at 22 off will get them onto the list and then they can see that there's not that many more balls to level 5. You might get that person to tournaments.

 

I'd wager you will get that person to tournaments way faster than if they didn't post that score to a rank list.

When I was a kid you could have a certified judge watch you ski in a course and sign you off for a level. No tournament required. You did need to be an AWSA member. Thank You Roger Wahl!

@skier2788 I laughed pretty hard when I saw that. The way we record the show we can't see each other so we had no idea that we were wearing the same t-shirt. it's kind of embarrassing
