Baller mattm Posted April 18, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 18, 2020 Buying a 200 in Ohio and looking for transportation to Portland, Oregon. Anyone have recommendation? 2300 miles.
Baller LoopSki Posted April 18, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 18, 2020 I've used uship.com in the past and had good results.
Baller skiinxs Posted April 18, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 18, 2020 +1 on uShip, I have used them several times with great results. Pay attention to the shippers reviews and don't take a bid from someone without several reviews.
Baller CBR51 Posted April 18, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 18, 2020 Try Chris from WS Transport. He hauled for me a few years ago. Good guy. 740-350-7124

Baller mattm Posted April 18, 2020 Author Baller Share Posted April 18, 2020 Road Trip it would be. 30 hrs each way. Gotta love that boat. Use to know a guy that transported whatever all over the country. He was skier so he hauled a lot of ski boats. I'll call Chris and look at U Ship. Baller mattm Posted April 18, 2020 Author Baller Share Posted April 18, 2020 That number for Chris is no good. Was that an offer Pullhard?
Pullhard
Sorry, no.... but would love to go. I pulled my current boat home from Denver to Oregon with no problems. I've also towed a boat home from LA to Oregon. If you've got the time, its the way to go. Also, good to see the boat and go over it with the seller and make sure no surprises. If you ship, when it arrives your stuck. Not sure what your towing rig is but gas is cheap now.
Baller CBR51 Posted April 19, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 19, 2020 Sorry Matt. Double checked the number I had. Guess maybe no longer in business. As mentioned earlier was a few years back
Baller liquid d Posted April 19, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 19, 2020 usship.com.....will probably cost about $1 a mile.
Baller Ski2000 Posted April 19, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 19, 2020 $1 per mile?. I vote road trip. Bonus is water test before your committed. Only out the cost of driving.
Baller dave2ball Posted April 19, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 19, 2020 Fly there rent a truck and drive back. That way you see the boat first hand and you get to test drive and even ski the boat.

Baller T_C Posted April 20, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 20, 2020 Save the travel expense and use the money saved to buy a Mastercraft from Liquid Zone!!!!
Baller RAWSki Posted April 20, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 20, 2020 Set up a BOS Relay-Delivery. I can get it from Ohio to to Illinois\Iowa. We all get to test the boat along the way if we can stop at a fellow ballers site. You might have your new boat by July!
Baller ScarletArrow Posted April 20, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 20, 2020 @RAWSki thats a great idea. Where is the boat in Ohio? I’m in Akron. If this gets some legs I might be up for a little road trip myself. In this Coronavirus world, we need to spread some love.
Baller mattm Posted April 21, 2020 Author Baller Share Posted April 21, 2020 How much would that cost. We have 2016 200 with almost 900 hrs so I really don't need it right away. Shoot I could even drive to Idaho or something for the final leg.
Baller_ RichardDoane Posted April 21, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted April 21, 2020 @RAWSki that's a great idea with @mattm paying the fuel and beer bills. Everyone and their Lake Pals gets a ski ride or three at the hand off points. It might add 25 hours to the meter total, not a big deal. We just need 8 Ballers to step up and drive a leg of the journey. With a look at the map of the good old USA, you can travel Interstate 90 all the way from Ohio to Washington. So who can do OH to IL, IL to WI, WI to MN, MN to SD, SD to WY, WY to MT, MT to ID, and then @mattm can do the final leg from ID to WA. Volunteers get their gas paid, a t-shirt from Warman Lake, and the chance to be part of something cool and fun to do.

Baller Jetsetr Posted April 21, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 21, 2020 I could PROBABLY do WI to MN depending on when it happens. Would be a direct run no stops for skiing ☹️.
Baller DaveD Posted April 21, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 21, 2020 @RichardDoane It would probably be cheaper for @mattm to ship it FedEx if he has to cover everyone's beer.
Baller mattm Posted April 22, 2020 Author Baller Share Posted April 22, 2020 Doesn't look like the deal is going to happen. Sorry if I ruined anyone's plans. Rawski, ScarletArrow and Jetsetr definitely have a ski ride if ever out to Vancouver, Wa. RichardDoane is responsible for the beer however. Baller ghutch Posted May 1, 2020 Baller Share Posted May 1, 2020 This would have been absolutely cool. Another cool thing about this awesome sport is helping a fellow skier out and something like this would only add to the fun, plus you would be getting to ski at some awesome places along the way and put faces to screen names. I will probably look at doing something like this when I retire in about 5 yrs.
