Baller BobF Posted April 11, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 11, 2020 I think I'm looking at exactly the kind of "controlled skid without falling off the back of the ski" that Marcus referred to in the 38 off thread. That's one hell of a balanced slide through the turn.
Baller 6balls Posted April 11, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 11, 2020 Beautifully executed smear.
Baller_ MISkier Posted April 11, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted April 11, 2020 Apex of the turn before the buoy. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.

Baller hammerski Posted April 12, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 12, 2020 Upper body could be moving a little more to the inside to keep the tip moving through the turn. ?
Baller VONMAN Posted April 15, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 15, 2020 The turn ball being hit not by the ski but the skier and pushed under water and popping back up. But the ski never touched it.. Ernie Schlager
Baller_ MISkier Posted April 15, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted April 15, 2020 Look closer @VONMAN. The buoy moved laterally toward the course centerline and then sloshed back. It did not move in a predominantly vertical bobbing motion. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller JAS Posted April 15, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 15, 2020 In any given still shot looks like significant tail slide. My impression is that much of this is an illusion caused by surface disruption caused by drag of inside surface of boot, ankle or calf. Viewed from above if you focus on track of fin you will note it to be very clean and crisp. Looks like a crazy good turn to me.
