Administrators Horton Posted February 13, 2020 Administrators Share Posted February 13, 2020 MIAMI, FL (FEBRUARY 13, 2020) – Nautique Boat Company is proud to debut the first electric Super Air Nautique GS22E in partnership with Ingenity, an electric propulsion brand. As the leader in the towed watersports industry, Nautique continues to drive innovation and look for new ways to provide customers with better on water experiences. Ingenity, a subsidiary of Correct Craft, has been developing a robust electric propulsion system that can be seamlessly integrated into the current GS22E model. Using the existing engine compartment, Ingenity has incorporated an extremely energy-dense battery and propulsion system into the boat without compromising any of the current storage space or performance characteristics. The battery allows for 2 to 3 hours of normal watersports use and can be recharged in as little as 90 minutes. The battery management system is designed for thousands of cycles which equates to many years of primary use. It has cells from top tier suppliers and the latest in thermal management and safety technology. “As the industry leader, we are proud to debut the 100% electric drive system inside this GS22E” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “This electric drive system is like nothing else on the market today, and thanks to our teams at Nautique and Ingenity I’m excited to see what’s possible with this groundbreaking technology.” “Our new battery is the heart and soul of the Ingenity system,” said Ingenity President, Sean Marerro. “It is the key to everything customers care about: safety, reliability, and the time-to-run and charge,” added Marrero. The GS22E will be on display at the Miami Boat Show, February 13th – 16th, at booth B101. This model highlights the latest in technology from both manufacturers. Baller_ Rednucleus Posted February 14, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted February 14, 2020 This is the boat @cougfan saw at the Seattle Boat Show that has our group thinking about an electric tow boat. It would be perfect for our 2 hour shift at Bow Lake Wed afternoons.
Baller KRoundy Posted February 14, 2020 Baller Share Posted February 14, 2020 In the videos posted from Miami on Instagram you can clearly see a second battery pack in the floor of the GS22e. I wonder if there are more stashed somewhere?
Baller ISP6ball Posted February 14, 2020 Baller Share Posted February 14, 2020 @KRoundy, I thought the same thing. Seems like it must not be that quiet if they covered it up with music in their debut video.
