Baller ballsohard Posted July 28, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 28, 2019 I know that this is hugely subjective but I'm curious what ballers would classify as the fastest ski that they have ever tried.

Baller ballsohard Posted July 28, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted July 28, 2019 I have never skied one but some say that the Monza is as fast as anything @MS what do you think?
Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted July 28, 2019 Gold Member Share Posted July 28, 2019 The fastest ski I've ever skied on was an unreleased Denali iteration known as the 5.3. Very fun ski! For production skis I'd say the Goode 9900.

Baller thager Posted July 28, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 28, 2019 Wood combi slalom with straight side bevel. Of course there is the problem of trying to turn it! Maybe just add a Denali fin and wing?
Baller ballsohard Posted July 28, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted July 28, 2019 I'd say that my 2018 Vapor Probuild is the fastest ski that I have skied, second-fastest would be a tie between my dads 2014 Radar Vapor Lithium or his Goode 9700

Baller ballsohard Posted July 28, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted July 28, 2019 @skialex what redeeming qualities did the Goode N1 posses that made it a liked ski even though it was widely known as being super slow and a ton of work?

Baller B_S Posted July 28, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 28, 2019 This right here, hands down. It felt like it was wired directly into my central nervous system, and was the most unforgiving ski I've ever had. I loved it!

Baller Ed_Johnson Posted July 28, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 28, 2019 After 9 Goode's, 3 HO's, 4 D3's and Mapple, by far the fastest, least effort ski was the Sans Rival. Nothing compares to it in speed or effort. Wish they still made it.

Baller skialex Posted July 29, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 29, 2019 @ballsohard strong skiers could get more buoys on N1. At whatever position you were approaching the buoy the ski would turn. Personally I wanted it to be a little less work behind the boat and I went with the XT. I still ski on the latest XT but now on the longest one and although I’m below the minimum weight for the ski I have great success. I know skiers that still ski or still love the N1 and a friend who is an older and technical skier that moved away from Goode for good because of the N1. Skis Radar now. For me the 66.75 XT is a lot less effort and still turns almost as good as the N1.

Baller packski Posted July 29, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 29, 2019 Quickest off the buoy and side to side speed are entirely two different things. I believe some of the old fiberglass/graphite skis could give the all carbon skis skis a run for the money side to side with the right skier. You have to make 6 turns in a predetermined amount of time so you need a balanced ski that turns well, holds a good edge and releases and repeats the process smoothly . Just my two cents. Baller escmanaze Posted July 30, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 30, 2019 I've not skied on a ton of skis, but the time I rode the HO CX superlite it felt too fast. Is that possible? Too fast? Probably not the fastest ski of all time. Just the fastest ski that I've ever been on.
