dbry1107
Hi everyone, after some information from anyone who has any unbiased opinions on the above skis for my 15 to daughter. Both skis are priced the same so any opinions would be great. Cheers.

Baller Intheday Posted July 2, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2019 I don’t know about the Omni but I would of thought at that age the Lyric rather than TRA might be a better choice. Only because of different sizes TRA has been a great starter ski for my son and my daughter got a Lyric because she likes the colours better
Baller Chef23 Posted July 2, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2019 I agree that the TRA might be a little small given that your daughter may grow (although at 15 she could be done but might fill out a little). I think the TRA is based on the Senate/Lyric shape but I am not sure how the constructions compare. In a similar construction either ski would likely work equally well. Baller ReallyGottaSki Posted July 2, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2019 My GF has a new 63" Omni but she is not advanced enough to really stress it hard yet, nor report but so far, so good, i'm impressed, but no way my foot will get in it to try it. Post her skill level, that should help tailor responses to what you need to know.
Baller Windsurfnut Posted July 2, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2019 We have 3 TRA's 2015 Boys 63 2017 Boys 63 2017 Girls 65 Kids love them, and are really into the Radar brand. The girls are aged 13 and 15 and the 65 might be a bit big for them now, they'll have it a long time.
Baller Keith_Menard Posted July 2, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2019 The smartest thing Radar did was pack a ton of ski into a really awesome price. This kid will probably be Radar for life because of it.
treyskier1
My daughter just turned 8, learned to slalom in May, and ran 2 buoys at 19.3 mph last weekend in her first tournament on her Radar TRA. I recommend the TRA for sure.
dbry1107
Thanks for the reply everyone. What is the main difference between the TRA and lyric as from what I've read they both come from the senate mould, is it just the stiffness. She is a good agressive open water skier but is hoping to get into the course this summer so am looking for a ski that will prigrepr with her. @WaterSkier12 do like the D3 skis but here in Australia there doesn't seem to be a lot of retailers, especially here in WA. Cheers.
Baller aussiemc Posted July 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 3, 2019 @dbry1107 There is a dealer network for D3 in Australia. I'll PM you.
Baller tlarocque Posted July 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 3, 2019 Was going to buy my 10 yo daughter a TRA but got a good deal on a 2018 Lyric 63 from Wiley's. She has been out on it a few times. She is skiing really well and loves the ski.
WaterSkier12
Sorry, didn’t mean to ruffle feathers, just a D3 fan. Son has been on one since the beginning. He does have Radar Vapor bindings! So does my wife. Good luck, kids progress so fast, enjoy the journey!!!
