Baller Andre Posted May 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted May 3, 2019 A new skier on my lake is looking at a very clean one and asked my advice. Never ever been close to one in my case. How does the boat ski and drive? He's a beginner in the course. Thanks for feedbacks!
Baller Wish Posted May 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted May 3, 2019 missing my 1999 WaterSki Mag Boat Buyers Guide but here is 1998 and 2000
Baller dvskier Posted May 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted May 3, 2019 Wakes are low and soft at 15-22 off at 26-30 mph. I enjoyed skiing behind one. Can't say they have the resale value of the "Big 3", but certainly a good boat. Pretty sure they had a MercCruiser 270hp engine.
Baller Andre Posted May 3, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted May 3, 2019 Thanks guys! This one has the 350 MAG MPI. I think it's around 300 hp.
Wolfeie
I did own a 1999 PRE2100WT. I bought it since we had owned a time share houseboat on Lake Powell. It was a decent boat for open water, it had the TAPS adjustable wake system. When we bought into Ski West Village found out pretty quickly not the right boat for a private lake, especially if you prefer slalom over wakeboarding. It is also wider than most inboards, so it is very tight between the guide buoys, and the wake with the TAPS is still pretty big for slalom. Members Jordan
Nice boat BUT unless you get the TAPS setting just right for each line length the wake can be very hard.
Baller ALPJr Posted May 3, 2019 Baller Share Posted May 3, 2019 Good boat. Skied and drove one at Spencer's Training Camp. Would definitely consider a well cared for one.
Moved2ski
I owned a 98. 21I. For 19 years. I loved it. Wakes are ok. Did great in rough water if you ever need to take it out on big water. That boat was bulletproof. Never let us down.
