Members whitem71
I make no apologies for what must be the 500th post about vapor fin settings - because I’m sure we are addicted to discussing it ?. Just moved on to a 2017 66 PB and love it - fast and mega responsive - but wondered if anyone has ridden it with Matt Rini’s settings?(I bought it from Perf and that’s how they set it up). They are 2.450, 0.725, 7.0, 29.25, 9 and it feels a great if a little ‘pointy’, i.e. uncompromising, tip down & on rails! Thus struggling to get back into 32 as yet. Any idea how this compares with stock settings (2.460, 0.745, 6.960, 29.25, 9)? Thanks
paul413ski
Stock will be a little less pointy and not on rails as much

Baller Stevie Boy Posted April 30, 2019 Baller Share Posted April 30, 2019 I have a 67 running stock but a few thou off the length and 8 on the wing
Baller ColeGiacopuzzi Posted April 30, 2019 Baller Share Posted April 30, 2019 @whitem71 I'd give these a try and see what you think, when I rode the 2017 Pro build I rode at: 6.870 2.511 .765 9 29 1/4 Quote Radar Skis Follow
Baller MJE Posted April 30, 2019 Baller Share Posted April 30, 2019 On the 2016/2017 Vapor, I was always happiest with the stock settings. You'll still get the tip down attitude but the ski will cast out better in preturn (more carve, less point)
Members whitem71
Thanks all. I’m sure I’ll get used to it but it’s just a bit aggressive feeling which tends to pull me forward out of position quickly unless I’m on it. I’m sure the cold UK water at the moment is contributing too..
Baller Stevie Boy Posted April 30, 2019 Baller Share Posted April 30, 2019 @whitem71 try 6.958 lay the caliper flat on the ski and measure with the tips in the slot not across the slot. Tip: For consistency always measure your fin with the front of the ski on your left.
